    I’m an artist, writer, and teacher, working and living in London. I’m currently a recipient of the Associate Studio Program (ASP7), and a member of Freelands Foundations ArtistTeacher network. Recent exhibitions include the Winter Sculpture Garden at Gallery No 32 (London, 2022), Marx on the Table (Folkestone Triennial, 2021), MAKE (Freelands Foundation, 2021), among other exhibitions.

    Mary Rouncefield works as a freelance artist, having graduated as a mature student from the University of the West of England, in 2009. She has exhibited extensively in UK and abroad. Exhibitions include the Passion For Freedom Festival in 2016, Hatched 2017 in Oxford and Shape Open, 2018. Her work reflects her interests ranging from Human Rights, the rights of women , mathematics and science.

    I design and make mixed media jewellery from my workshop in Bingley, West Yorkshire. I work predominantly in silver but like to combine other, found materials to my work to add colour and interest. I sell my work online, at contemporary craft shows and through a number of galleries around the U.K.

    I am artist working primarily in the medium glass, with 25 years experience as an art educator. My work expresses thoughts around identity and humanity through changing the surface of glass and paper. I am an art educator for the October Gallery and also facilitate art workshops in schools.

    My practice revolves around the idea of labour intensity, often in a highly gendered context. I work mainly in mark making and textiles but also use writing to inform and underpin my practice.

    I create sculpture and art installations using ephemeral materials and using repetition. My practice is firmly rooted in process art and influenced by postminimalist artists such as Richard Serra and Eva Hesse. I was a Porthleven Prize and SANE Creative Award winner, and won the 2021 Gilbert Bayes Award. I am a 2021 ArtConnect Artist to Watch and was shortlisted for the New Emergence Art Prize.

    I qualified with a BA in Fine Art in 1982 and after a career in FE and HE I retired early in 2018. I make paintings and sculpture based on real and remembered landscapes presented together to suggest non-linear narratives. In 2004 I took timeout to study an MA in Creative Technology working with 3d modelling and real/virtual environments reflecting the superimposition of memory over place.
