Monica-Shanta’s practice encompasses digital film, interactive performance, installation and image. An aspect of her subject matter is visual language itself, its inherent cultural values, and the contexts upon which it depends. Using lived, sensory and physical experiences as the starting points for her work, she seeks to transcend culturally confined definitions of ‘self’.

Alec’s diverse modes of practice are an exploration into art’s purposeless purpose - in the hope of accessing ecologies of things and places with an ‘uncertain and spectral futurality’ …although he freely admits this all may be mistaken!

I exhibit in United Kingdom and Brazil. My work aims to find a connectivity to our deep past, in an attempt to unravel our human reluctance to take responsibility for our underlining destructive nature. Through the use of every day single use, disposable plastic products to create installations, performances, sculptures, photographic and mark making works.
