    I am a printmaker and artist living in Otley, West Yorkshire. I have made art all my life, but printmaking has driven me to take art-making more seriously. I love to draw, and this has helped me lean into and enjoy the process and technique of print making. I mainly work with Japanese Vinyl, traditional Lino and Drypoint. I work from my studio at my home in Otley, West Yorkshire.

    Lyndsay’s contemporary jewellery collection, ‘Na Mara’, is inspired by messy compositions of debris created by the tides along the Scottish Coast where she’s based. Drawing is a vital part of her process, using mark-making to develop abstract impressions from the landscape. Based on the drawn-line, she creates tactile pieces which vary with each iteration; as with a drawing, each is unique.

    I am a visual artist, born in Scotland and living in the Scottish Borders. My background in craft and fine art is wide and varied. I first trained in ceramics and then studied fine art sculpture and printmaking, at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee, from which I graduated BA Hons in 1992.     My practice is muti-disciplinary but a unifying starting point for most of my work is print or collage. I am an artist and educator interested in the social applications of art. I like to create work that is playful and invites interaction in some way. Ritual, play, wonder, performance, perceptions of reality and imagined narratives are all important themes within my practice.
