I am an artist blacksmith who has an joy and love of metal since time began people have created and to me its inspiring how one can view nature and then manoeuvre iron into a version of nature. I use mostly recycled materials and things others throw away to try and bring beauty into the things others see as rubbish to lease new life and joy into what was once unloved. I'm a lover of history.

Using found and salvaged materials, and multiple media and processes, I explore notions of value, power and the dilemmas that confront us all especially in relation to objects - what we buy and where, how we get rid of what we use, whether to watch or be watched and how we use new technologies.

Exploring the lost and found, the past and how it has shaped us, connection and heritage are the themes central to my work. I seek to create a certain atmosphere and emotion. All at once imagined and familiar, a connection with the viewer and a continued exploration to find my own place in the world. Inspired by my home in beautiful, rugged Northumberland.
