Having studied Fine Art at Reading University my passion to share my love for sculpture and ceramics led me to later graduate from Edge Hill University as a teacher of art and design. After 13 years teaching sculpture, ceramics, and fine art to pre-degree students, sharing my time between artist and educator, I now work as a full-time ceramic artist in my garden studio in West Lancashire.

Though rooted in printmaking, my MA in Fine Art (UAL) encouraged me to expand my practice to include installation and assemblage. I use a range of media including traditional (e.g. print, ceramics) and newer technologies (e.g. laser cut) which I combine to stretch possibilities. My work reflects the range of human experience, with dementia and the working poor among my subjects.

I am an intuitive, spontaneous artist, so I tend to paint or draw, make or model with whatever materials I can get my hands on. I usually use acrylics and at present I'm interested in creating abstract images, although I do like to paint very large jungles too.
