    Artist working in ceramics and on canvas using oils and watercolour. I am represented by four galleries in the UK most recently I had an exhibition in London which celebrated the life and work of Derek Jarman. My ceramic work was part of a larger collection shown at Collect 2024 where the Ulster Museum acquired three of my pieces for their permanent collection.

    Born in Lancashire, painting and drawing since a young child, I gained a degree in graphic design and pursued a career in design for over 25 years, whilst continuing to paint. Painting is my passion and my purpose. Now concentrating fully on painting professionally.     I am by definition an abstract artist who mainly specialises in painting. I use acrylic paint and mixed media to create my artworks, typically on large abandoned photographs, paper or canvas. The general theme behind my work is rooted in environmental issues and explores the contrasts between a natural existence and a synthetic environment that many of us find ourselves living in.
