    Based in Stroud, Gloucestershire, Sarah Dixon is a socially-engaged conceptual artist using a broad range of media to create participatory works. She has a particular interest in invisible rituals - how we use them in institutional and everyday settings, and how we can playfully reconstruct them to serve us. She is a founder member with Sharon Bennett of The Women's Art Activation System (WAAS)

    I am an artist & illustrator using papercutting, collage and drawing to make detailed hand made works that are an emotional response to the places, spaces and cultural heritage that is closest to my heart and have personal resonances to me.     I have spent a lot of my life fighting stereotypes around misogynistic opportunities of learning and pathways of creativity. My work reflects the imbalance and currently deeper opening of artistic equality. I am currently reflecting and researching the language of gender, especially gender fluidity.

    I'm a British artist living and working in Northumberland. I make paintings on paper and sculptures in paper and wire, concrete and iron resin. I studied art in London, initially at the Sir John Cass School of Art, and then at Central Saint Martin’s majoring in sculpture and drawing at the Royal College of Art.

    A handweaver and passionate about sustainable textiles, Sarah also has a smallholding and breeds pedigree Border Leicester sheep. She uses the fleece from her own sheep and from other local farms to create bespoke yarn to use in her woven articles.

    I am a visual artist working in sculpture installation and print. With a BA in 3D Design in Glass from UCA Farnham, I graduated with an MA in Art and Science from Central Saint Martins London 2018. Investigating themes related to natural forces and perception, I won the National Open Art Prize Installation Category in 2017 and was selected for the British Glass Biennale 2022.
