    Sam is an interdisciplinary inspired by movement. Sam’s work researches, creates and reflects on the concept of what they refer to as ‘choreographic objects. A ‘choreographic object’ is any work Sam creates that has, through the process of making or in the way it looks, a relationship to the body and movement. Sam has a studio at the Art House Wakefield.

    I’m Maddy, a queer artist, animator and crafter from London, living in North Yorkshire who loves to make artwork for all. My art ranges from digital paintings to traditional!     The paintings are an expression of experiencing the natural environments. They are a playful celebration of colour, shapes and a sensory response to the exuberance found in plant life.     My work expresses music and sound in colour. I create abstract paintings, mixed-media work and installations inspired by my personal experiences of sound-colour synaesthesia – when I listen to music, each note of the musical scale is perceived as a specific colour. I completed my MA in Fine Art (Distinction) in December 2019. In my spare time I am a musician, playing violin and viola.

    I create jewellery in sterling silver, argentium silver and gold. My inspiration comes from organic shapes and from fractal patterns. I also create limited edition intaglio prints based on fractals.
