    I am an emergent mixed media artist who enjoys exploring via photographs, collages and notebooks the world. By capturing movements of people I engage with a meaningful dialogue that lights invisible messages, for me, to interpret.     I’m a UK artist based in Leeds and I’ve taken part in open call exhibitions across the UK (Art of music, King street gallery, Lancaster winner of special selection). Recently I had a solo exhibition at the ORBS walls, Leeds. My work is predominantly oil painting on canvas and wooden board.

    My work explores the relationship between science and art. I visited the Moscow Museum of Cosmonautics and I was inspired to paint. Struck by the huge space hardware, it seemed to me that space exploration represented the most positive aspects of humanity. Great achievements are only made possible by the collaboration of skilled, knowledgeable people working together towards a common goal.

    Exploring the exciting properties of encaustic beeswax has been my passion for several years. First used by Ancient Egyptians as a painting medium, it saw a resurgence last century and has continued to flourish. Still relatively unknown in Europe, but once discovered, never forgotten. When I first took up my brush and dipped it into molten wax and pigment I knew I was hooked!

    My ceramic sculptures possess a strong voice and, and a bold narrative about contrast, visual drama and playfulness. They are visually and haptically exciting. I have an MA in ceramics, and exhibit my work in the UK and abroad. My work has been shortlisted for a number of national and international prizes, and is held in public and private collections in the UK, USA and Italy .

    I am a picassiette mosaic artist working in and around Derbyshire. As an Integrated arts graduate I am interested in the juxtaposition of work and its environment and how placing can alter or affect meaning. A recent mosaic for Buxton Station gave viewers an insight into the plight of the rare Bilberry Bee and was positioned to lead the viewer on a journey to the bees habitat a short walk away

    Having completed a degree in Fine Art I went on to complete an MA Fine Art at BCU . I revel in exploring, unpicking, and going on a journey to see where the art takes me. When I paint and draw, I really do feel the work emanates from within and emerges, bursting forth. I embrace my gestural approach, and investigate large scale using oil, oil sticks, and water soluble crayons.
