    I am an artist/maker based in a small village on the West coast of Wales. I have been practicing for over 30 years. I work from a small studio at the back of my house. My surroundings are a constant source of inspiration to me; the colours of the expansive skies, the flocks of corvidae wheeling around and the flowers in the hedgerows. I work mostly with textiles.

    I am based in Newport, South Wales and am a long-standing member of Cardiff Print Workshop. Over the years I have been self-employed as an artist and teacher, offering workshops and master classes to a variety of organisations and individuals. I strive to exhibit my work where ever I can.     I'm an Artist & Qualified Art Teacher based in Leeds with a master's in Contemporary Fine Arts Practices. My work is inspired by African Art, Rastafarian Culture, and Roots Reggae. I've received the Edna Lumb Travel Scholarship and the Black Achievers Award.     I am a painter that is interested in emotional memory and the part played through dance and music . I also work with abstract themes usually in mixed media . I exhibit and sell my work predominantly at soul festivals throughout the UK. I worked initially as a fashion designer for high street brands then in my early 30 s worked in education as a Head of Faculty for Visual and Performing Arts .
