    Justine is a multidisiplinary artist with 25 years experience working in the arts, originally from Scotland now living in North Wales and Central Portugal. She set up her studio Pitch Black Paradise in 2017 situated in the grounds of Glynllifon Country Park. The studio has grown over the years into a wonderful place to work, sell her art, and run workshops.

    As a self taught artist I create brave and bold, sea and land scapes created using oil paint and palette knives. Capturing nature’s elements, its extremes of light and dark, its stillness and ferocity. Hope just on the horizon. Originally from Sheffield now living in Derbyshire with my family. I travel the UK coastline to gain inspiration and experiences, which are put into my artwork.

    I am a full time artist, living and working in North Yorkshire. Leaving teaching after 22 years has been a revelation and has allowed me to develop and think about the work I make and connect with others. .My creative practice is autobiographical, telling the stories my life and documenting them in their raw and vulnerable form.     I am a contemporary artist based in Crewe, with strong links to North Wales and the Welsh Borders. I originally trained as a painter but now specialise in various techniques of original printmaking, print collage, and in artists books. I worked in adult education for many years, and run occasional workshops in collagraph printmaking and artists books.
