    I only returned to using clay several years ago after a break of over 35 years and following work-related mental health issues. The charity Create Bolton supported me in rediscovering my love of ceramics and encouraging me to develop my own style of making. My work is inspired by my love of nature and my style is still evolving.

    I work in the medium of film/video and photography. I studied photography before going on to study fine art at Leeds where I specialised in video art. As a filmmaker I've made creative films for Screen Yorkshire and North West Vision in England. My photographs have been exhibited online and in galleries, both in the UK and internationally.

    I am a London-based artist working across analogue and digital processes to explore connections between labour, race and technology. My interest in animation techniques, theory and practice has influenced a current body of work that uses computer generated images (CGI) and film.     Rachel Rimell is a photographic artist based in North Yorkshire exploring the transience of human experience and place against the backdrop of an interconnected landscape. Her work is informed by notions of the inner self and the outer persona and the invisible threshold between the two and kinship with the ‘out there’ beyond the confines of the human body.
