    I’m Maddy, a queer artist, animator and crafter from London, living in North Yorkshire who loves to make artwork for all. My art ranges from digital paintings to traditional! I have a BA in Illustration and Animation, and an MA in Concept Art. I have completed various personal and professional commission and contract work, varying from realism to illustrative in style.

    The paintings are an expression of experiencing the natural environments. They are a playful celebration of colour, shapes and a sensory response to the exuberance found in plant life. I am living and working from my studio in Hackney Wick London and my work has been in exhibitions here in the UK and internationally.

    My work expresses music and sound in colour. I create abstract paintings, mixed-media work and installations inspired by my personal experiences of sound-colour synaesthesia – when I listen to music, each note of the musical scale is perceived as a specific colour. I completed my MA in Fine Art (Distinction) in December 2019. In my spare time I am a musician, playing violin and viola.

    I create jewellery in sterling silver, argentium silver and gold. My inspiration comes from organic shapes and from fractal patterns. I also create limited edition intaglio prints based on fractals.
