    After studying Textile Design at University Deborah became a secondary school Art teacher for nearly ten years. However these days she enjoys working from home on her paintings and models along with running workshops in the local area. Currently Deborah’s Art takes the form of creating miniature buildings which are then hand painted to bring them to life.

    I grew up in the ancient port of Whitby, in northern England which sits between the North Yorkshire Moors and the North Sea. This dramatic environment has influenced my art as much as my multi-ethnic ancestry and popular culture. As do the conflicts within our existence: light and dark; life and death; imprisonment and freedom; censorship and expression.

    Tara Jordan is a London-based Irish sculptor currently studying MA Fine Art in UAL: Central Saint Martins who believes the artifacts left behind from processes of self-creation are often messages from the unconscious.
