    Glynis Lamond is a multidisciplinary artist who recently studied Drawing at post graduate level at University of Arts (Wimbledon). Her MA in drawing drew on her appreciation of found man made objects in the environment which embody past memories, emotions, stories or forgotten crafts or ways of working. These objects are reworked to give them new life and meaning.

    I am an artist based in Leeds making work across sculpture, moving image and animation, exploring the linkages and crossings between nature and environment; shifting between imagination and reality. I take inspiration from autobiographical objects, cycling, wildlife, traffic and nature, allowing them to perform together to tell ongoing stories with the environments I create.

    My work follows two parallel yet colliding lines, shaping and complementing each other. I compose space, and space shapes me. The serenity of one form mirrors the Dionysian force of another. I work with ordinary materials, embedding them in familiar structures that fade when left untouched. Beyond the rational and the known, does a pure, simple order exist, hidden behind the everyday haze?

    Demi is a northern British contemporary abstract artist, who has lived across industrial towns and northern countryside. Demi's artwork is fuelled by these contrasting environments, her work is primarily climate focused, forming both abstract landscape and animal paintings using mixed media.     Yimou Huang’s practice-based PhD from Dundee University explores the divergent influences of Chinese Taoism and Western Eco-Feminist thought on contemporary global art. It centers on the material aspects of dynamic forces, such as gravity, wind, and erosion. Yimou is particularly interested in transformational processes and their relation to traditional Chinese views on matter (stone, clay, wood)

    Poppy Whatmore is a visual artist based in London. She studied an MA Fine Art at Slade School of Fine Art with an Arts Council Award. She was nominated for the Adrian Carruthers Studio Award and won the Aesthetica Art Prize in 2013 . Selected group shows include, 'A Body A Part', APT gallery, artist and curator; 'Warped Domesticity'. She was selected for Hogchester Arts in 2023.
