I have a particular interest in classical drawing and the methods used in atelier schools. I'm also interesting in community arts and encouraging others to draw.

I started involving people in my work over many years by asking simple but BIG QUESTIONS such as: to name a painting; to tell me their wish; or to tell me what they worry about. I had incredible responses to all these questions but there was always something missing - I never really connected to the individual. Meeting that need finally happened in my latest project: WHAT MAKES YOU/YOU? .

I am a painter, educator and scholar. I live and work in Bristol (SW England) and St Davids (SW Wales). I am not a ‘landscape painter’, but my abstract work is informed by both these environments. I am 66, and have one son. I live with my partner and work from home. My studio practice involves close attention to working as locally and sustainably as possible.

I am a painter from Manchester/Sheffield. My practice is process-driven and I mostly work in painting and collage. I often use found images or objects as the source, the medium or the surface, re-arranging components to make visual sense of my surroundings to create balance and tension.

I am a painter from Newcastle upon Tyne, currently based in London. I am interested in the tension between things, such as between indoors and outdoors, between people, and between man made things and the natural world. I enjoy investigating colour theory, and how it can affect paintings, and I also enjoy developing my style to have a better sense of space, form and atmosphere.
