    Working in the areas of visual art, culture, and curation, the mediums of my artistic expression are drawing, painting, mixed-media works with scrap, blog writing, ceramic sculptures, curation, photography, and short documentaries.     Through painting, I share my experiences as a woman artist in my mid 30’s. I tackle issues like mental health, love, and pressures of being a woman in today’s society. I do this inspired by art history and particularly focus on the subject of the self.

    A disabled artist having to experiment using my non dominant hand, I love to capture a feeling or beauty within my art. Charcoal was the very first thing I picked up and I'm venturing from this trying to recycle my "canvas'" and drawing on anything I can find and reuse. I believe my art maintains a stylised appearance on account of the deliberation and consideration having to be factored in.

    I'm a contemporary visual artist , now resident in Sant' Elena, Venice, Italy. I work principally with drawing, painting, collage, print, photography, digital design using experimental, mixed-media techniques. My career as a creative practioner has been varied; including teaching /lecturing at university level and founder/executive director of the b-side festival on the Isle of Portland.

    Becky comes from an artistic and literary background based in Brixham Devon. She studied art in the early seventies but got diverted by literature and, latterly, the social development of adolescents. The research undertaken as part of her MA reconnected her to her own adolescence and its influences.

    The paintings are an expression of experiencing the natural environments. They are a playful celebration of colour, shapes and a sensory response to the exuberance found in plant life.
