    I am a designer maker working often in ceramics. I see the beauty in the broken, overlooked and discarded. My latest work was using fully fired ceramics that were in the bin and, crushing these up, I put them inside jesmonite sculptures. I want to highlight the moments in our lives where we feel broken, worthless and discarded... in order to remind us we are strong and valuable.

    After a successful and fulfilling career spanning nearly 2 decades as an Art Teacher, I left the profession in 2018 to become a freelance visual arts facilitator . I have worked with numerous establishments throughout the North-West delivering workshops to all age groups and ability levels.     I am a contemporary visual artist working across sculpture, installation, new media (bio) art and sound. Based in the North East of England, I exhibit nationally and internationally. I have a PhD in Fine Art from BxNU Institute of Contemporary Art, Northumbria University (2018).
