    Returning after a ten year sabbatical raising my two young daughters, I work in textiles, wood and ceramics - creating retrospective pieces which resonate with the threads that hold us together, the buoys that keep us afloat, objects and people that keep us grounded, the baggage that we carry, and the voids within our hearts we attempt to fill with other things.

    I am an artist living and working in North Wales. Working predominantly with painting and drawing I am primarily concerned with the way in which mark making, abstraction and figuration work together. My paintings and drawings are responses to the landscape, figuration and the nature of my own painting. I keep my subject and process deliberately unplanned.

    I am a painter, educator and scholar. I live and work in Bristol (SW England) and St Davids (SW Wales). I am not a ‘landscape painter’, but my abstract work is informed by both these environments. I am 66, and have one son. I live with my partner and work from home.     Lyndsay’s contemporary jewellery collection, ‘Na Mara’, is inspired by messy compositions of debris created by the tides along the Scottish Coast where she’s based. Drawing is a vital part of her process, using mark-making to develop abstract impressions from the landscape. Based on the drawn-line, she creates tactile pieces which vary with each iteration; as with a drawing, each is unique.
