    I work with site-responsive installation, photography and video using light, space and wind and am inspired by the ordinary, the everyday and the need to find meaning in our lives.     My name is Harriet Pybus and iv recently spent a lot of time reflecting back on photographs that I have taken over the years. My photographs provide sanctuary from the turmoil of the modern world. Feelings of tranquillity, peace & almost romantic emotions frozen in time, giving an opportunity to stop, breathe and appreciate the world in which we live.

    Having studied Fine Art at Reading University my passion to share my love for sculpture and ceramics led me to later graduate from Edge Hill University as a teacher of art and design. After 13 years teaching sculpture, ceramics, and fine art to pre-degree students, sharing my time between artist and educator, I now work as a full-time ceramic artist in my garden studio in West Lancashire.

    I am a textile artist using machine embroidery as my main medium. I work in my studio in Sheffield called 'Stitched Up and Fleeced'. I trained at Bolton Art College Foundation Course 1971-2 , Loughborough College of Art and Design Degree in Stitched Textiles 1975, PGCE Art and Design at Leicester 1976, Member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen since 1996 and awarded a Fellowship in 2013.
