    I grew up in Zambia, studied Classics and Education at St. Mary’s University in London, and later graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a B.A. Honours in Fine Art. As teacher and artist, my interests have often overlapped. I have exhibited in many English and European cities, as can be seen in my CV on this website.     Sinead Barker is a self-taught, neurodivergent textile artist whose work is rooted in her lifelong affinity and deep bond with animals. She creates animal portraits using collaged fabrics, hand-dyed canvases and free-motion machine stitching to blend patterns and add fine details to bring each animal to life.

    In 2024 I became aware of the huge potential of acrylics so have switched across from watercolours that I have done for 10 years or so. Loving the fact that you can use almost anything to create a picture and it is a far more creative media. I use the brand name 'Random Acrylics' because they will be exactly that as you will see what you want to see.

    Recent graduate of a first class degree in BA (Hons) Fine Art at the Northern School of Art. I enjoy the process of investigating landscape via graphite, paint, photography and collage. I absolutely love being on location with a sketchbook and pencil. I am Interested in the emotional, historical and environmental aspects of the landscape that give my work purpose and warmth.

    Award winning textile artist based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Donna uses appliqué and free machine embroidery to create textile art inspired by the Northern landscape.     I am a teacher of Geography and until a few years ago I never thought I had a creative bone in my body. I then discovered wood turning and the joy of shaping wood as if it was clay. I have rapidly moved away from traditional wood turning and like to use a variety of non-traditional wood and different materials that enhance the wood. I like form and shape inspired by nature.

    I am a graduate of Reading University and the RCA. Currently I have a studio at APT in Deptford, London. I have exhibited continuously since 1977 both in terms of static installations but more recently involving projection onto objects. These include reconstructions of the night sky and orreries using 00 scale model railways. An online catalogue of small works and movie shorts support this.

    Nicola Briggs is an Artist & Ceramicist based in Manchester, UK. She completed a BA(Hons) Design: Ceramics Arts Degree from Staffordshire University in 1998 and set up her first studio with the help of The Princes Trust. During this time Nicola also painted and sold work at galleries. After a break to raise her family, Nicola returned to making and exhibiting in 2016 building a new garden studio.
