    I am a graduate professional artist with BA Fine Art First Class Honours 2006. I'm inspired by the landscape and create work that abstracts what I see and experience. Often working en plein air I create dynamic & colourful compositions. I'm inspired by abstract expressionism with rapid expressive mark making & striking colours of Fauvism.     I am currently producing work that is a a combination of paintings and mixed media relief pieces that combine embroidery, paper clay, precious metal clay, paper, watercolour, ink and found objects. Each piece is accompanied with a poem about and as a response to the physical work. I also work as a development librarian.

    I am a photographer and a qualified teacher. I tutor workshops in basic digital photography and cyanotype printing. My main practice is in documentary photography. I also have a passion for Camera Obscura and have designed and built my own portable CO. Inspired by largescale artworks I also have a passion for light paintings and abstractions made at night.
