    Born in Nottinghamshire, Stuart Reid completed a Foundation course in Art and Design at Grimsby School of Art. He studied Fine Art at Falmouth School of Art and Birmingham School of Art (Postgraduate Painting). He lives in East London and works in a Space Studio. His paintings have been shown nationally and internationally and are in public, corporate and private collections.

    I am a painter and mixed media artist based in London, originally from Italy. With my artworks, I tackle issues that are relevant to today’s political and cultural landscape. My goal as an artist is to exhibit rather than to create for commercial purposes, therefore I aim collaborate with platforms that seek to showcase socially and environmentally conscious art.

    For the last few years, I have tried to paint in a way that no other artist paints. I do not see the point of painting in a similar way to other artists. For THE NATURE OF THINGS series, I have found a new way of applying paint to figurative paintings. In the MEMORY AND DESIRE series I paint initially conventionally, but then cover the picture with a monochrome colour.

Her site specific installations respond to the immediate surroundings, utilising or are inspired by found materials. Her work presents environmental themes and issues such as climate change, pollution, erosion and adaptation on a public scale. She is an established art educator and workshop facilitator.
