    I’m a UK artist based in Leeds and I’ve taken part in open call exhibitions across the UK (Art of music, King street gallery, Lancaster winner of special selection). Recently I had a solo exhibition at the ORBS walls, Leeds. My work is predominantly oil painting on canvas and wooden board.

    I started out in art creating pencil pet portraits for friends and family. When these proved popular, I branched out and began experimenting with a variety of media, and a variety of subjects. I am always learning, and thoroughly enjoying the process. I decided to take the plunge and set up a website for my art earlier in 2025.

    My practice centres on ceramics. Clay is mineral, elemental and millions of years old. A humbling material - it has a memory, just like us. I am inspired by the chaos of oxides, the magic of a kiln opening and leaning into the unknown.

    I trained and worked as a primary teacher early on in my career, before motherhood took over and I took time to raise my family. I returned to work as a teaching assistant and supply teacher part time, before I took the plunge and embarked on an access course in art and design. I haven't looked back since, gaining a BA, followed by an MA in Fine Art, and I am at present continuing my research.

    “As a designer, you are always drawing and visualising” “Many designers are frustrated artists. So, its time to put pen to paper.” He is not stuck to one medium.     My 2D work describes concepts using narratives, symbols and visual rhythms. I have curated 37+exhibitions for a gallery founded in a social inclusion project in S. London. I have designed and run events, workshops and participatory installations exploring community, people's relationship to each other and encouraging creativity and self exploration.
