    I am a multidisciplinary artist and designer with a background in Furniture Design who also teaches art and woodwork. I recently completed an MA in Creative Practice at Leeds Arts University, focusing on developing my artistic practice.     Born in Nottinghamshire, Stuart Reid completed a Foundation course in Art and Design at Grimsby School of Art. He studied Fine Art at Falmouth School of Art and Birmingham School of Art (Postgraduate Painting). He lives in East London and works in a Space Studio.     Based in the UK East Midlands, I became a full time artist in 2019. Semi abstract in nature, my work combines a fine art background and a long held fascination with wood in all forms.     In group shows I want my work to feel like someone has placed an overly kitsch and whimsical Duccio in a room full of 18th century British landscapes — as if a figure has escaped from a fresco on a church wall in Siena and is wreaking havoc.

    Ex Army Father of two beautiful girls and I work as a HGV driver in the UK. I got into art literally by accident, after a work place accident and recovering at home ,I took up pyrography to take my mind off the recovery. Since then and work permitting I do my art when I can. Only having weekends off from the road I love to dive into a piece for hours on end, the smell and sound is fantastic.

    An experimental printmaker using etching and other print making techniques. The work is concerned with the temporal transformation of discarded and forgotten objects into new printed images which emulate the landscape, becoming imaginary map like places. A new 2 or 3 dimensional narrative emerges as they form their new printed landscape
