    I am a neurobiologist by day and artist by night. I explore various topics directly impacting me like the emotional impact of chronic pain, the nature, and the science around me.     Sinead Barker (b.1989) is a textile artist based in York, North Yorkshire. She creates wildlife textile art using collaged fabrics and free-motion machine embroidery on hand-dyed canvas.     I am a graduate professional artist with BA Fine Art First Class Honours 2006. I'm inspired by the landscape and create work that abstracts what I see and experience.     Having recently completed a foundation degree in textiles practice at Bradford School of Art, I am now embarking on a new chapter as a textile artist. In my previous life, I was a specialist speech and language therapist, and also an aromatherapist, and I continue to take the same multi sensory approach to my art work, as I did in my previous roles.
