    As a studio-based painter I rely on photographic images. These are often those found on social media or then internet. As a gay man I am also interested in exploring the multiplicity of images and ideals we are presented with and redefining the idea of masculinity. My work explores narrative, colour, line, composition, and mark-making to evoke an emotion or develop the narrative within an image.

    I have been doing abstract art since the beginning of 2023, as a recovering alcoholic (sober for over 10 years now) I use my art as a way of expressing my innermost feelings without having to speak a single word about them. I see my paintings as a screenshot of my soul at that particular moment in time.

    Saba Siddiqui (b.1999) is a multimedia artist based in Yorkshire whose work centres the experiences of Global Majority people living in the U.K. to investigate notions of home and identity. Her degree show installation ‘Defiance My Way’ won the People’s Choice Award for the 2024 FUAM Graduate Art Prize and she is a recipient of the Berkofsky Award. Siddiqui is making work for Bradford 2025.

    My name is Meg Bristol. I am an acrylic painter from Cornwall. I currently studying at the University of Leeds, working in acrylic depictions of the ordinary. My work is designed to appeal to those who enjoy the beauty of a quiet moment.     Michel Ducos is a potter, sculptor and Art facilitator based in Alford, Lincolnshire. Having been a professional potter with his wife, Heather, since 1972 as Alford Pottery, for the last 20 years or so, ceramic sculpture has become an all engrossing activity which sits comfortably alongside the daily pottery work.
