    Laura James (b.1994) is a British painter based in London. Her practice explores the unconscious crossover between our internal and external worlds, seeking to unearth a primal place where the mind meets the land. Using predominantly water-based mediums, coloured pencil and monoprint, she weaves dreamlike terrains that emerge through a multi-layered and intuitive process.

    My paintings develop from sketches and photographs taken on location, blending imagination and inspiration from architecture, archaeology, and man-made structures. From my studio space at Arnup Studios in York, I create, teach and exhibit my art, sharing my collections, prints and cards.     Graduate from the Royal college of art. 7 years ago I moved from my birth place of south east London to East Sussex which has impacted my art considerably. Though from childhood I always felt happier in the countryside, I felt a juxtaposition between living in a city and infrequently visiting the countryside now I am here feeling more inspired by my surroundings.

    Hi I’m a self employed artist/illustrator and art teacher. I run art workshops, create wall and window murals for businesses and educational settings and I create original art /illustration prints which I stock in my online shop and sell at art markets and exhibitions. I illustrate empowered perfectly imperfect women, and I also draw figures exploring the great outdoors. I use inks and collage.

    I'm a 53 year old Artist from Yorkshire, i Love to paint what is in my head. I do occasionally like to paint a portrait, usually a personality from a band. Having suffered with my mental health issues i find it a personally tailored therapy that seems to work well. I would like very much to share my paintings.
