    I am currently producing work that is a a combination of paintings and mixed media relief pieces that combine embroidery, paper clay, precious metal clay, paper, watercolour, ink and found objects. Each piece is accompanied with a poem about and as a response to the physical work. I also work as a development librarian.

    For over twenty years, my practice as a community artist has centred on participation, storytelling, and collective making. Recently, through Arts Council England’s Developing Your Creative Practice fund, I have refocused on my personal creative work - exploring the intersection between Chinese and European folklore, inherited craft traditions, and the shifting nature of cultural identity.

    Holman works with traditional making practices and processes, that he subverts with contemporary content, challenging both the currency of craft as a nostalgic strategy for making, and our perceptions of what constitutes ‘heritage.’ Holman is a non executive director of The National Festival of Making and is artist in residence for the British Textiles Biennial 2019.

    I am a London based artist who uses photography, digital manipulation, and sound to create images, video, and installations. Searching beneath the surface by unpacking the layers that we keep secure is a fundamental aspect of my work. Often nostalgic, sometimes beautifully melancholic, I make tender unsettling images drawn from my reflections of human behaviour.

    Shona Davies and Jon Klein both studied at Sir John Cass College of Art where they graduated in 2007 with first class honours. They were also joint recipients of the Owen Rowley Prize and John Cass Purchase prize. Klein specialised in Time Based Media and Davies in Printmaking and 3-D. Dave Monaghan studied at Liverpool and Canterbury Colleges of Art where he specialised in sculpture.

    I am a lifelong self taught artist who at a point in life when many of my peers retired began a project with three artists friends to firmly place creativity, artistic exploration & development of practise firmly at the centre of life by opening a gallery, studio & workshop.     Lo graduated from the Glasgow School of Art in 2009 with a Ba(Hons) in Fine Art. She has since been writing, drawing and working in Leeds with her cat and number one fan, Moo. She works as an independent Illustrator and is one half of the creative duo, Lo & Vee. Together they run a regular art class and have had success with their large, detailed, painted murals.
