    I am an multidisciplinary artist from Chesterfield who graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a Fine art degree in 2018. I have been based at S1 Artspace since, being awarded a studio there by Making Ways. I have previously worked with Mercedes-Benz of Sheffield (JCT600) and was nominated for the Keith Hayman biennial award for public art in Sheffield in 2019.

    Samiya Younis, a British-born Pakistani artist based in London, draws inspiration from her South Asian heritage. Her multidisciplinary practice, spanning sculpture, installation, painting, and performance, explores identity, hybridity, memory, belonging, and fragility through materiality, storytelling, and acts of quiet resistance that challenge dominant narratives.

    I am a multi-media artist based in Yorkshire working in sculpture, performance, photography, video, printmaking and artist’s books. Much of my work is inspired by and takes place in, the landscape around me. Often I am the only audience for my on-site installations, works translated into artist’s books and digitally printed images, crossing the boundary between documentary and primary artwork.

    I am a visual artist, illustrator and urban sketcher living and working in Yorkshire, UK. My work deals primarily with the landscapes and built environments in the North of England: I seek to capture the atmosphere and 'feel' of these places in a way that goes beyond description, capturing their essence and creating emotional resonance with the viewer.     Emma's contemporary oil paintings are a fusion of atmosphere, experiment and memory. She draws upon memories of a time and an emotion to overlay into the overall sense of place, capturing the connectivity and the beauty of nature and its calming influence. She is constantly thinking about colours, contrast and composition and how to create movement and texture in her work.

    Alison Lam identifies as a neurodivergent, interdisciplinary socially arts practitioner using differing materials such as porcelain, metals, glass and paper. Alison explores the idea of grief, discardment and ostracisation, through exploring and invsestigating process led investigations. She often refers to this process as ‘drawing with her hands’.

    Following my graduation from a Fine Art Degree in 1993, I qualified as an art teacher, teaching art for over twenty-five years in various settings, including mainstream schools and referral units for children excluded from school. My understanding of art and how students can be encouraged to create has enlightened, inspired and enriched my understanding of the practice and process of making art.

    Jayaargh, the working name of John Rowlinson, artist and printmaker. He has been working mainly in print, using a variety of methods including lino, drypoint etching, monotypes and cyanotypes. Currently making a series of works using the Polaroid Lift process.
