    I am a largely self-taught artist, my art practice spanning work with natural colour and experimental and sustainable film photography. I was born in former Czecho-Slovakia and my present art practice is informed by my Slavic roots and folklore cultural heritage.     Rachel (they/them) is a prolific, intuitive artist who has been practicing since graduating in1990 from Central Saint Martins School of Art, London. They follow where their creativity takes them on the day; using sketching, linocut, mono printing, sewing and painting. Having grown up in the Peak District, Rachel has lived in London, Boston and New Zealand and is now loving Norwich.

    Living in North East England, I have been painting and printmaking for over 60 years. My main focus in recent years is landscape painting in oils, where I am interested in atmosphere. Sometimes painting en plein air, plants and gardens are another source of inspiration.

    I am a multimedia artist, interested in the magic powers that inanimate objects can achieve through our spells. Teddy bears are my queer talismans. My film practice begins with a desire to heal feelings of loss, solitude and alienation, by exploring symbioses between beings. Working with the practical immediacy of the iPhone, I use presence, stillness and methods of meditative contemplation.

    My work is completely concerned with context, process and materials. I make paintings, drawings and collages, often on a very large scale. I use the dark room as an experimental space, making camera less imagery and double exposed 35mm. I use Lo-Fi audio techniques collecting field recordings and glitched samples.
