    I graduated from the Royal college of Art 2001. As an artist I am interested in the fugitive relationship between the sublime, the abject, and contemporary perceptions of beauty.     I grew up in the ancient port of Whitby, in northern England which sits between the North Yorkshire Moors and the North Sea. This dramatic environment has influenced my art as much as my multi-ethnic ancestry and popular culture.     I am a sculptor whose work investigates identity and the way we portray this in the world through the forms of our clothing and our architecture.     I am a graphic designer and a visual artist. I work mostly in oil on canvas but work sometimes with acrylic and water colour. Most of my recent paintings were influenced political and social upheaval of our world today and the works of the Renaissance artists. I do not like artworks to be just for decoration but to evoke feelings.
