    An experimental printmaker using etching and other print making techniques. The work is concerned with the temporal transformation of discarded and forgotten objects into new printed images which emulate the landscape, becoming imaginary map like places. A new 2 or 3 dimensional narrative emerges as they form their new printed landscape

    I am a painter of ideas and passions, sourced from the landscapes around us and the mindscapes they evoke is me. With my science background, I try to blend the stories of how and why things are, with my desire to express these wonders in colour and form.     As mixed media artist, I have worked as a textile artist since I took early retirement 14 years ago. Recently, I have also restarted water colour painting and my work now includes a mixture of paint, fabrics, stitch, hand weaving and embellishments. I have taken many courses on textile art techniques, printing, eco dyeing, paper making. etc.

    I am a Brighton based artist. A working mum who tries to find a time and space to express herself via art. This is passion that has been put aside and pushed down the long to do list. Putting myself first became very important since last year I had a mental breakdown and panick attack. Recently joined the Brighton Women Artists group whose main aim is to promote women from all background.

    Through my work I want to explore the mythological representation of women and how stories have been influenced and reengineered by patriarchy. How women have been written out of folklore and how stories have been changed to fit in with this ideology.

    I am currently producing work that is a a combination of paintings and mixed media relief pieces that combine embroidery, paper clay, precious metal clay, paper, watercolour, ink and found objects. Each piece is accompanied with a poem about and as a response to the physical work. I also work as a development librarian.
