    I am a London based artist who uses photography, digital manipulation, and sound to create images, video, and installations. Searching beneath the surface by unpacking the layers that we keep secure is a fundamental aspect of my work. Often nostalgic, sometimes beautifully melancholic, I make tender unsettling images drawn from my reflections of human behaviour.

    I work from Yorkshire Artspace, Sheffield. My sculpture & installation practice uses steel wire, salvaged materials & writing to explore invisibility, voicelessness & the politics of periphery. By refusing tidy coherence, my work becomes embodied communication supporting marginalised narratives, tracing links between historical & contemporary silencing, & challenging expectations of expression.

    I have been doing abstract art since the beginning of 2023, as a recovering alcoholic (sober for over 10 years now) I use my art as a way of expressing my innermost feelings without having to speak a single word about them. I see my paintings as a screenshot of my soul at that particular moment in time.

    Working with salvaged ecclesiastical glass, I use historical fragments to construct new paradigms of image‑making. Informed by early Renaissance craft, my practice reconfigures light, fracture and inherited forms for contemporary meaning.

    My work pulls from autoethnography , using lived experience alongside academic literature to tell a story and grasp audiences. I aim to be relatable and direct in order to address the culture we are in. I prefer my work to be accessible, this means audiences of any and all backgrounds can engage with my work. I feel a picture can speak a thousands words.

    My work is based on what I notice in the natural environment from day to day, it might be a tree, plant, overgrown border, the sky through leaves or sun on a pond. I am a self-taught artist and have exhibited in Leeds and surrounding areas.

    I am a charcoal pencil artist specialising in landscapes, wildlife and gothic illustration. Much of my work is commission based and has included book covers, album art and tattoos. I am currently exploring ways of making my work more accessible including turning my drawings into 3d prints and interactive, multi sensory pieces.     In 2024 I became aware of the huge potential of acrylics so have switched across from watercolours that I have done for 10 years or so. Loving the fact that you can use almost anything to create a picture and it is a far more creative media. I use the brand name 'Random Acrylics' because they will be exactly that as you will see what you want to see.
