I have an MA in ceramics, and exhibit my work in the UK and abroad.     I am a sculptor whose work investigates identity and the way we portray this in the world through the forms of our clothing and our architecture. Both are seen as metaphors for the body and for human experience. I have been investigating this relationship for 20 years.     I am a painter who has moved into three dimensions. My painting is very classical in technique, using glazes to achieve tones and contrasts. The work is abstract in concept but in retrospect I find it grows out of my immediate and long term visual experiences.

    I qualified with a BA in Fine Art in 1982 and after a career in FE and HE I retired early in 2018. I make paintings and sculpture based on real and remembered landscapes presented together to suggest non-linear narratives. In 2004 I took timeout to study an MA in Creative Technology working with 3d modelling and real/virtual environments reflecting the superimposition of memory over place.
