    I am a London based artist who uses photography, digital manipulation, and sound to create images, video, and installations. Searching beneath the surface by unpacking the layers that we keep secure is a fundamental aspect of my work.     I am a travel photographer with over 40 years experience. My work is very real, never contrived or retouched, only using natural light and careful composition. I'm never happier then when in the chaos of a new city searching for new images. I create my own limited edition Giclée prints which are mounted and signed.     As a studio-based painter I rely on photographic images. These are often those found on social media or then internet. As a gay man I am also interested in exploring the multiplicity of images and ideals we are presented with and redefining the idea of masculinity. My work explores narrative, colour, line, composition, and mark-making to evoke an emotion or develop the narrative within an image.
