    Since my training at Edinburgh College of Art I have been inspired by nature. My mission explores the emotional symbolism of my subject matter and seeks to distil the image to enhance this. I am a slow meditative painter. This process puts me in touch with the healing spirit I inherited from the medics in my family. I want to help people find an inner sense of peace and connection with nature.

    Diana Terry works in drawing, painting and sculpture to explore how art can embody thought and emotions. With a background in teaching alongside her professional art practice, she has exhibited extensively including at Merzbarn, Scotland, Kolaj Fest, New Orleans, and The Mall Gallery, London, as well as being selected for the New Light Prize Exhibition.

    I am a multi-media artist based in Yorkshire working in sculpture, performance, photography, video, printmaking and artist’s books. Much of my work is inspired by and takes place in, the landscape around me. Often I am the only audience for my on-site installations, works translated into artist’s books and digitally printed images, crossing the boundary between documentary and primary artwork.

    I'm an artist, educator and curator. I create sculptural installations, using recycled and found materials. At the root of my practice is the notion of interconnectedness, with a focus on environmental concerns about human exploitation of nature. Projects include step in stone '15 and B-Wing '19.     Born in Lancashire, painting and drawing since a young child, I gained a degree in graphic design and pursued a career in design for over 25 years, whilst continuing to paint. Painting is my passion and my purpose. Now concentrating fully on painting professionally.
