    My art practice combines paper collage art and illustration with sharing my creative journey as a self-taught artist. I design and host workshops for children, adults and families that celebrate creative expression as a tool for healing and reconnecting with ourselves. I work from my home studio in Lancashire.

    Sunderland is a painter and drawer living and working in Plymouth, England. His work is constantly referencing the changes in time, light and shadow, and where man-made or natural forms co-exist in the environment. Originally from Leeds, he studied drawing, painting and sculpture at Bradford and Exeter, his work has always had a connection to growing up in the Yorkshire Dales.

    Creative expression has always been intrinsic to my life having worked with pencil, pen and ink, lino cut, oil pastel,watercolour and acrylics. After retiring in 2017 I followed my passion for mid century design restoring and selling sewing boxes internationally.I then returned to mixed media work in 2021 focusing on alcohol inks on birch ply to enhance the beauty of the wood grain.

    Emma's contemporary oil paintings are a fusion of atmosphere, experiment and memory. She draws upon memories of a time and an emotion to overlay into the overall sense of place, capturing the connectivity and the beauty of nature and its calming influence.     I am a multi-media artist based in Yorkshire working in sculpture, performance, photography, video, printmaking and artist’s books. Much of my work is inspired by and takes place in, the landscape around me. Often I am the only audience for my on-site installations, works translated into artist’s books and digitally printed images, crossing the boundary between documentary and primary artwork.

    I am a graduate professional artist with BA Fine Art First Class Honours 2006. I'm inspired by the landscape and create work that abstracts what I see and experience. Often working en plein air I create dynamic & colourful compositions. I'm inspired by abstract expressionism with rapid expressive mark making & striking colours of Fauvism.
