    I am an artist based in West Yorkshire and Iam an emerging artist. I have always had a passion for wildlife and wildlife conservation. So, it makes sense that I would naturally turn to wildlife art. My style is hyper-realistic with an attention to detail.     My paintings develop from sketches and photographs taken on location, blending imagination and inspiration from architecture, archaeology, and man-made structures.     My motivation often comes from the challenge of transforming and exploiting objects then trying to give them new uses. I enjoy keeping the original object recognisable so then it has a dual personality. Many of my projects and products have been interactive, in a residency last year I was able to create larger pieces using rope and objects that people could interactive and play with.

    Jelena Havelka is an abstract painter and printmaker based in Leeds. She holds a PhD in Psychology, and her art education comes from residencies and workshops with artists and printmakers in Yorkshire. Her work is grounded in a concept of embodiment, translating felt experiences into textured surfaces that echo the physicality of emotion.
