    Nick Malone crosses art forms to create mystery through broken narratives in paintings, drawings and artist’s books. Initially a prizewinning writer, he abandoned his former life to become a full-time artist. His work has been exhibited across the world, from Tokyo to the United States, including at the Royal Academy, the Carrousel du Louvre and the RSA, and has won various national awards.

    My practice explores the relationship between movement, emotion, and texture through the dual mediums of oil paint and clay.     I am a Bradford based Chinese artist, a graduate of Yunnan Arts University in Kunming where I also qualified as a teacher. Although my personal preference is for abstract painting in oils, after taking up residence in The UK, I further developed my skills as a portrait painter.
