    I resumed making sculpture in 2014 and have since shown sculpture, audio visual pieces and drawing. I am interested in the experiences of new, older artists returning or starting to make art that takes into account contemporary practices. I make constructions that are material and tangible and whose component forms often have a direct relation to the features of the gallery or site.

    I am a neurobiologist by day and artist by night. I explore various topics directly impacting me like the emotional impact of chronic pain, the nature, and the science around me.     I am a textile artist using machine embroidery as my main medium. I work in my studio in Sheffield called 'Stitched Up and Fleeced'. I trained at Bolton Art College Foundation Course 1971-2 , Loughborough College of Art and Design Degree in Stitched Textiles 1975, PGCE Art and Design at Leicester 1976, Member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen since 1996 and awarded a Fellowship in 2013.
