    My 2D work describes concepts using narratives, symbols and visual rhythms. I have curated 37+exhibitions for a gallery founded in a social inclusion project in S. London. I have designed and run events, workshops and participatory installations exploring community, people's relationship to each other and encouraging creativity and self exploration.

    My work pulls from autoethnography , using lived experience alongside academic literature to tell a story and grasp audiences. I aim to be relatable and direct in order to address the culture we are in. I prefer my work to be accessible, this means audiences of any and all backgrounds can engage with my work. I feel a picture can speak a thousands words.

    I am Olamide Adesola aka Ayo'lamide. I have a masters degree in Fine Art from Teesside University and a BSc degree in Fine Arts from Obafemi Awolowo, Nigeria. I started art as a young girl. I have participated in exhibitions, home & abroad. This was done so as to solidify my intention of achieving an uninterrupted creative/professional practice as a professional artist.     From my garden studio in mid-Devon, I hand build and decorate ceramic pieces from stoneware clay. Decorated by hand with coloured slips, under-glazes and oxides, each one is unique. I particularly love creating quirky, characters designed to make people smile.

    The main aspect of my work is the exploration of the personal and the collective unconscious through art, putting in its centre not the single human being but humanity as a whole.
