I am an artist and curator based in Brighton since gaining BA Hons Fine Art Painting at Southampton Institute in 1997. My work has become increasingly non-figurative with an ongoing investigation into the perception of 2D shape in 3 dimensional projected and real space and the dynamic tension between the two. My practice involves painting, drawing, printmaking and 3D creations.

My passion is for fabric and stitch, my background in illustration, fashion and hand-embroidery. Recently my practice has grown using new methodologies to create large-scale installations and interactions. My work is generous and inclusive, acting like a type of therapy, offered to the viewer with gentle humour. Methods I use are traditionally craft related, all familiar childhood activities.

Her work is inspired by extensive travel - sailing in her twenties delivering yachts, and her childhood years living in Australia. 20x20cm to 120x120cm.

I enjoy bringing together a variety of printmaking processes in my work – reduction linocuts, two-plate etchings, drypoint, screenprint and monotype drawings. I’m interested in the different possibilities and restrictions of markmaking and the possibilities of combining printmaking with animation and other mediums.
