I am a Scottish photographer, filmmaker, artist and educator who lives in Lewes, East Sussex. Being brought up on a farm has contributed heavily towards my practice. I enjoyed a lot of freedom, but my existence was quite isolated which, in hindsight, instilled an ability to work alone and an urge for self-expression.

My ceramic practice explores the poetics of stillness at the threshold between vessel and sculpture. I use local stoneware, contrasting structural precision with unique matte glazes that highlight the clay's raw character. My work emphasizes the physical history of its creation. Stocked at Kettle's Yard museum shop and other galleries, I have also held a solo exhibition at Churchill College.

Ceramic Sculpture I make ceramics, draw, and curate. I create figures and structures that evoke personal and common paradoxes. The work is broadly figurative. My work has a strong experimental process behind it, whatever I plan the work may not conform to my original map. I am a rural Alberta artist whose practice combines dermestid beetle cleaning with intricate beadwork and painted designs on wildlife skulls. Each piece begins as a natural process, with beetles preparing the bone, and evolves into a work of art through hundreds of hours of hand-placed beads. My work explores cycles of life, death, memory, and renewal, transforming skulls into contemporary objects

EIYIA is a group of artists, born from the deepest love for art, for the thrill of being able to create ideas that at first seem impossible, parallel to our reality, worlds that seem to seek answers to the most complex questions we all ask ourselves.
