    Trained, practiced and taught Graphic Design turned to Printmaking as a main practice since 2017. Concentrated on Linocut initially predominantly 'Reduction'. Recently returned to college for an Adult learning Printmaking course and introduced to Tetrapak, Drypoint, Aquatint and other Intaglio processes which has expanded my outlook on many other possibilities and approaches.

    I resumed making sculpture in 2014 and have since shown sculpture, audio visual pieces and drawing. I am interested in the experiences of new, older artists returning or starting to make art that takes into account contemporary practices. I make constructions that are material and tangible and whose component forms often have a direct relation to the features of the gallery or site.

    Mary Rouncefield works as a freelance artist, having graduated as a mature student from the University of the West of England, in 2009. She has exhibited extensively in UK and abroad.     I started out in art creating pencil pet portraits for friends and family. When these proved popular, I branched out and began experimenting with a variety of media, and a variety of subjects. I am always learning, and thoroughly enjoying the process. I decided to take the plunge and set up a website for my art earlier in 2025.
