    Hi. My name is Laura Lee and my principal interest is wildlife and landscape photography in the Western United States and Canada. I reside in far north Idaho in Bonners Ferry, but have also lived in Montana, California, Utah, and Colorado. My work is primarily realistic, but I love finding beautiful patterns in Nature that are abstract and contemporary.

    I am an author I studied for an MA in art and a BA graduated in both, and then went on to study psychology. I have done various psychotherapy courses and classes.     Vivid, gestural oil paintings reveal a fascination with emotional states, with the help of unwitting accomplices captured from feature film and TV- their surfaces hint at depths of emotion below. Forever given pause, they comment on emotional entanglement with the artificial as a substitute – or perhaps immunisation against- the fluctuating feelings of everyday life.
