    Sarah McAlister graduated with MA Textiles from The University for the Creative Arts in 2024 and focuses her practice on re-using found materials. Her work is made in response to places and events she has experienced. Her ethos as a textile artist is to recycle, re-use and re-purpose existing resources meaning that her pieces are made entirely from found objects and fabrics.

    As a child I loved to draw and paint, and as an adult would loved to have had the time to follow it up. However, work and family kept me busy. When I retired I promised myself I would join an art class and take it seriously. Though I don't hold a degree, I am still being very well taught, by excellent professional teachers .,so you are never too old to learn about something you love doing.

    Sue is a contemporary yorkshire based artist gaining a Diploma in Fine Art, Jacob Kramer, 1993. BA Honours Degree in Art and Design at Bradford College In 1997. Exhibitions since; most notables The Royal Academy Summer Show 2024, Royal Cambrian 2023. Sue uses oil paint, to draw out intangible moments from specific memories. Layers of impasto being a striking feature within her work.

    Producing art is a way of processing the madness we absorb every day. In a studio there is a lot of ‘alone’ time. You’re left with your own thoughts to process. I like the ritual of stretching a canvas, priming it, then tinting the surface. Painting is a way of resolving order from chaos.     Peter is an international, award-winning, mixed media artist who uses both digital and conventional methods to create his art, including mobile photography (iPhone and iPad), acrylics, cyanotypes and gilding.     I was born in London. I work from my studio in S-W Scotland to produce mostly Modern Mosaic and Mixed media pieces. I have a background in Painting and Sculpture, holding a First Class Honours Dip. A. D. and Post-Graduate Commonwealth Award for Sculpture to India. I formed Kate Anderson Mosaics in 2002, and am a professional member of the British Association for Modern Mosaic.
