    Joshua Obichere is a London-based artist whose practice explores colonial legacies, freedom, and self-ownership through sculpture, painting, installation, and performance. His work examines the Black male body and its histories, addressing objectification within queer spaces, and he is also one half of the artist duo JILO.

    I started out in art creating pencil pet portraits for friends and family. When these proved popular, I branched out and began experimenting with a variety of media, and a variety of subjects. I am always learning, and thoroughly enjoying the process. I decided to take the plunge and set up a website for my art earlier in 2025.

    I am interested in exploring photography as ‘Inframedium’, playing with the boundaries of the photographic object, its material ‘nature’ and the visual possibilities that exist within it. Stripping away the ‘Apparatus’ of the camera and thus stepping out of the arena of the technical image, I am exploring a different set of gestures with which to reveal the material’s phenomenological potential.

    I’ve been trying to get to the root of why I paint what I paint, after much ruminating I think I’ve realised the different avenues my mind travels down. I’ve become more interested recently in a still life aspect to my work, looking at old toys and discarded objects and it’s the stories about the past, that I can almost see- just out of reach and stories are the main diet of my imagination.

    My educational background is in Fine Art and I have a Masters degree in Curatorial Practice from Falmouth University. My Pagan faith influences my arts practice, to create connections between the divine feminine, humanity and nature within my work. I draw visual inspiration from the Wheel of the Year and use a palette associated with a particular season or Sabbat.

    Award winning textile artist based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Donna uses appliqué and free machine embroidery to create textile art inspired by the Northern landscape.     Born in Nottinghamshire, Stuart Reid completed a Foundation course in Art and Design at Grimsby School of Art. He studied Fine Art at Falmouth School of Art and Birmingham School of Art (Postgraduate Painting). He lives in East London and works in a Space Studio. His paintings have been shown nationally and internationally and are in public, corporate and private collections.
