    An artist and psychologist, I explore the human experience from my academic activities. I illustrate psychological phenomena, theories and concept in light of the current social context and of our future. As a result, my visual language presents itself in iconic, timeless and geometric forms. Science and art converge into a visual artform of heightened aesthetic sense and vivid compositions.

    Artist Printmaker, Jess Shaw, transforms details of the North Yorkshire landscape into contemporary artwork. Inspired by the influence of ice & water on our environment, she combines different print media such as monoprint, screen print, woodcut with mark-making, collage and painting to explore notions of continuity & transience in relation to our temporal human experience.

    Hi I’m a self employed artist/illustrator and art teacher. I run art workshops, create wall and window murals for businesses and educational settings and I create original art /illustration prints which I stock in my online shop and sell at art markets and exhibitions. I illustrate empowered perfectly imperfect women, and I also draw figures exploring the great outdoors. I use inks and collage.

    I am currently producing work that is a a combination of paintings and mixed media relief pieces that combine embroidery, paper clay, precious metal clay, paper, watercolour, ink and found objects. Each piece is accompanied with a poem about and as a response to the physical work. I also work as a development librarian.

    I am a graduate professional artist with BA Fine Art First Class Honours 2006. I'm inspired by the landscape and create work that abstracts what I see and experience. Often working en plein air I create dynamic & colourful compositions. I'm inspired by abstract expressionism with rapid expressive mark making & striking colours of Fauvism. Homma is one of the directors of Art in the Nuclear Age, a Trust member of Morphe Arts and a core steering team member of Brockley Open Studios.     Darren is a metal sculpture artist originally from Leeds, who designs and makes functional yet prominent sculptures. The journey started in the mid 90's after completing my studies at the Leeds College of Art. I was successful in having a piece of work accepted into the Leeds Art Gallery, Open Artists Exhibition.

    I am a textile artist using machine embroidery as my main medium. I work in my studio in Sheffield called 'Stitched Up and Fleeced'. I trained at Bolton Art College Foundation Course 1971-2 , Loughborough College of Art and Design Degree in Stitched Textiles 1975, PGCE Art and Design at Leicester 1976, Member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen since 1996 and awarded a Fellowship in 2013.
