    I am a multi-disciplinary artist, with 15 years of experience of socially engaged art / social practices projects. My work is informed by my Ph.D. thesis, activism and personal experience as a mix race person and migrant. Much of my work concentrates on themes of place and belonging, identify and social justice using photography, digital art and installations.

    I am an artist, based in South East London. I have taken part in local and international exhibitions, and my artwork is owned by private collectors in the UK and Europe.     Kate Jennings is a Leeds-based multidisciplinary artist with a Master’s in Fine Art. Rooted in expression, her practice explores emotion as a form of release and reflection.     My work touches on themes of belonging, mythology, memory, identity and the female gaze. In my creative practice, I enjoy exploring the symbolism behind water, waterlilies, lotus flowers, landscapes and the female body. I believe that my mixed heritage has been a rich source of material to work with, as I experiment with oil paint and mixed media on canvas.
