    I grew up in Zambia, studied Classics and Education at St. Mary’s University in London, and later graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a B.A. Honours in Fine Art.     My practice is muti-disciplinary but a unifying starting point for most of my work is print or collage. I am an artist and educator interested in the social applications of art. Ritual, play, wonder, performance, perceptions of reality and imagined narratives are all important themes within my practice.

    As mixed media artist, I have worked as a textile artist since I took early retirement 14 years ago. Recently, I have also restarted water colour painting and my work now includes a mixture of paint, fabrics, stitch, hand weaving and embellishments. I have taken many courses on textile art techniques, printing, eco dyeing, paper making. etc.

    I am an award winning cross-media artist and filmmaker, having exhibited internationally and worked collaboratively to deliver works that interrogate the role and impact of digital media practice. I have over 20yrs experience of devising and delivering participatory projects.     I am a printmaker and artist and I work from my attic studio in West Yorkshire. My prints are influenced by my love of being immersed in nature and my belief that everyone has a right to be wrapped in the natural world. They are also influenced by my love of arts that explore folklores, especially those relating to the changing seasons.

    I am a printmaker exploring our relationship with landscape and the ways we form emotional attachments to place. I work across multiple printmaking techniques, allowing processes to inform and expand one another, generating a diverse visual language. Alongside editioned prints, I create large-scale, site-responsive collaged 2D and 3D works that incorporate stitch as well as print.

    I qualified with a BA in Fine Art in 1982 and after a career in FE and HE I retired early in 2018. I make paintings and sculpture based on real and remembered landscapes presented together to suggest non-linear narratives. In 2004 I took timeout to study an MA in Creative Technology working with 3d modelling and real/virtual environments reflecting the superimposition of memory over place.
