    I am a visual artist, illustrator and urban sketcher living and working in Yorkshire, UK. My work deals primarily with the landscapes and built environments in the North of England: I seek to capture the atmosphere and 'feel' of these places in a way that goes beyond description, capturing their essence and creating emotional resonance with the viewer. My preferred medium is watercolour and ink.

She has experience exhibiting in the UK, Europe and the USA and has shown her work several times at prestigious events including Goldsmiths Fair and Collect Art Fair.     Amy Sterly is originally from Chicago and received a B.F.A. in drawing and sculpture from Rockford College, Illinois in 1986. She moved to the U.K. in 1989 and has since exhibited throughout the UK, Europe and the USA. She is exploring ways of using domestic objects to make prints and installations. Collaborations and public interventions are an important aspect of her practice.
