    Amber White is a concept-driven, multidisciplinary artist specialising in Artist Books as tactile, narrative objects. Her practice explores the relationship between materiality, structure and meaning, drawing on experience across textiles, print, and jewellery. Working with processes such as marbling, etching and hand stitching, she creates one-of-a-kind pieces that integrate form and concept.

    Im a graphic designer by trade, having spent many years working in print, advertising and display. I trained in Graphic Design at the Kacob Kramer School in the late 70s. I set up Jagger Studio to promote my Lino prints. I am based in Guiseley, Leeds and currently creating lino print images.

    Exploring the exciting properties of encaustic beeswax has been my passion for several years. First used by Ancient Egyptians as a painting medium, it saw a resurgence last century and has continued to flourish. Still relatively unknown in Europe, but once discovered, never forgotten. When I first took up my brush and dipped it into molten wax and pigment I knew I was hooked!

    I started out in art creating pencil pet portraits for friends and family. When these proved popular, I branched out and began experimenting with a variety of media, and a variety of subjects. I am always learning, and thoroughly enjoying the process. I decided to take the plunge and set up a website for my art earlier in 2025.

    Sam Haynes started her practice over twenty five years ago creating site specific public art installations, engaging local communities. Her creative process is still all about making connections, incorporating found objects and materials, using low tech methods of construction to create abstract, geometric assemblages that reference architectural space.

    Currently, I am primarily interested in exploring human/nature discourses through a narrative practice that engages with objects (natural and human-made), representation, and employing a range of processes and means of making.     I work with sculpture, installation, performance, and intervention to explore time, history, the deep feelings of things, and embodied human presence. Since graduating from my MA in 2020, I have situated my work both inside and beyond the gallery setting as a means to investigate the interaction between my work, space, and site. I am a member of The Royal Society of Sculptors and Spike Island.
