    My practice is muti-disciplinary but a unifying starting point for most of my work is print or collage. I am an artist and educator interested in the social applications of art.     Creative expression has always been intrinsic to my life having worked with pencil, pen and ink, lino cut, oil pastel,watercolour and acrylics. After retiring in 2017 I followed my passion for mid century design restoring and selling sewing boxes internationally.I then returned to mixed media work in 2021 focusing on alcohol inks on birch ply to enhance the beauty of the wood grain.

    A retired graphic designer with a career in film and television, Paul was raised by artist parents who helped shaped his creative foundation. After years working digitally, he has returned to traditional art. His work is driven by a love of observing landscapes—urban, rural, and historical - and the buildings within them, exploring how place, time, and human presence quietly intersect.

    I trained and worked as a primary teacher early on in my career, before motherhood took over and I took time to raise my family. I returned to work as a teaching assistant and supply teacher part time, before I took the plunge and embarked on an access course in art and design. I haven't looked back since, gaining a BA, followed by an MA in Fine Art, and I am at present continuing my research.

    My 2D work describes concepts using narratives, symbols and visual rhythms. I have curated 37+exhibitions for a gallery founded in a social inclusion project in S. London. I have designed and run events, workshops and participatory installations exploring community, people's relationship to each other and encouraging creativity and self exploration.
