    I am an artist living and working in North Wales. Working predominantly with painting and drawing I am primarily concerned with the way in which mark making, abstraction and figuration work together. My paintings and drawings are responses to the landscape, figuration and the nature of my own painting. I keep my subject and process deliberately unplanned.

    Zaza's preferred tools consist of a scalpel and a pair of scissors, which together with vibrant fabrics, enables her to create detailed and inspiring images, slightly 3D, without using any paint. From landscapes to Still life, she layers and harmonises her colour with skill.

    I am an artist currently exploring print making, mainly relief printing with linoleum. The dining room in my little Lincolnshire cottage doubles as my studio. I have always been interested in the medium but had only dabbled in it in the past. However with the time and solace of lockdowns in 2020 I found I could explore and experiment uninterrupted. I am now hooked!

    Vivid, gestural oil paintings reveal a fascination with emotional states, with the help of unwitting accomplices captured from feature film and TV- their surfaces hint at depths of emotion below. Forever given pause, they comment on emotional entanglement with the artificial as a substitute – or perhaps immunisation against- the fluctuating feelings of everyday life.
