    My passion is for fabric and stitch, my background in illustration, fashion and hand-embroidery. Recently my practice has grown using new methodologies to create large-scale installations and interactions. My work is generous and inclusive, acting like a type of therapy, offered to the viewer with gentle humour. Methods I use are traditionally craft related, all familiar childhood activities.

    I am an artist based in Cumbria, originally from South Yorkshire. My main focus within my art practice is to create sculptural artworks by recreating and repurposing items and materials that I collect, source and find. I also explore the use of other materials (such as wire, etc), other art practices (such as ink drawings, etc) and the making of decorative goods.

We met whilst studying for M.A. Fine Art at Sheffield Hallam University and discovered that we hold shared ideas and concerns.     I am a visual artist, illustrator and urban sketcher living and working in Yorkshire, UK. My work deals primarily with the landscapes and built environments in the North of England: I seek to capture the atmosphere and 'feel' of these places in a way that goes beyond description, capturing their essence and creating emotional resonance with the viewer.     I am a mosaic artist living in Cumbria. I have being making mosaics for a few years and am a former illustrator and mural painter. I make wildlife portraits out of rocks and found materials. I forage slate, quartz, found ceramics, fossils from places I visit and choose subjects that interest or inspire me. My style is representational and I choose materials to give my mosaics texture and movement

    Since my training at Edinburgh College of Art I have been inspired by nature. My mission explores the emotional symbolism of my subject matter and seeks to distil the image to enhance this. I am a slow meditative painter. This process puts me in touch with the healing spirit I inherited from the medics in my family. I want to help people find an inner sense of peace and connection with nature.
