    Samuel Booth (b.1982) is a photographer based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, UK. A brain injury in 2009 caused years of daily chronic pain, which photography has been a lifesaving therapy for. The photography started originally as part of a Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award hobby in 2001, it has played a very important role throughout, especially now.

    An artist and psychologist, I explore the human experience from my academic activities. I illustrate psychological phenomena, theories and concept in light of the current social context and of our future. As a result, my visual language presents itself in iconic, timeless and geometric forms. Science and art converge into a visual artform of heightened aesthetic sense and vivid compositions.

    I am a visual artist based in Hastings and have exhibited, participated in and produced work for artists led projects, residencies and commissions in the UK and Europe.     Currently my practice is built around transition, on curiosity and discovery, I have no fixed media on how to create works with depth, texture, and atmosphere, but it happens. I layer can colour, gesture, and even fragments of text to form pieces that feel alive with energy and meaning, inviting viewers to pause and connect.

    Ros Burgin is a sculptor who combines globally traded materials and a variety of processes, discovering new ways to shape and inform the subject of sculpture. She makes work that considers values and comments on sustainability, the marine environment and the part women play in shaping society.     Having studied Fine Art at Reading University my passion to share my love for sculpture and ceramics led me to later graduate from Edge Hill University as a teacher of art and design. After 13 years teaching sculpture, ceramics, and fine art to pre-degree students, sharing my time between artist and educator, I now work as a full-time ceramic artist in my garden studio in West Lancashire.
