    Exploring the lost and found, the past and how it has shaped us, connection and heritage are the themes central to my work. I seek to create a certain atmosphere and emotion. All at once imagined and familiar, a connection with the viewer and a continued exploration to find my own place in the world. Inspired by my home in beautiful, rugged Northumberland.

    Cathy Simpson is an illustrator and painter based in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. Her work is concerned with the natural world of plants and animals, and often relates to environmental themes. She studied graphic design and illustration at Central St Martin’s, and archaeological illustration at Bath University.

    I am a Visual Artist, Researcher and Maker specialising in textiles, who has recently completed an AHRC-funded practice-based doctorate at Northumbria University. I exhibit regularly both individually and as part of a collaborative partnership and art collectives. My research is communicated through multi-disciplinary artworks, underpinned by international presentations and exhibitions.

    Sarah McAlister graduated with MA Textiles from The University for the Creative Arts in 2024 and focuses her practice on re-using found materials. Her work is made in response to places and events she has experienced. Her ethos as a textile artist is to recycle, re-use and re-purpose existing resources meaning that her pieces are made entirely from found objects and fabrics.

    Molly Owen is a York based artist, whose textile practice focuses on nature and the senses. Molly uses punchneedle embroidery and weaving to create rugs, tapestry’s and wall art to bring the outside in - focusing on a sensory experience that breaks the traditional “do not touch” etiquette.

    London based artist working across drawing, sculpture and installation. Graduated in BA Fine Art, Central Saint Martins (2016) and is a member of the Royal Society of Sculptors. In 2024 she was awarded Art Council Funding to undertake a paper residency in the US.     Sam Haynes started her practice over twenty five years ago creating site specific public art installations, engaging local communities. Her creative process is still all about making connections, incorporating found objects and materials, using low tech methods of construction to create abstract, geometric assemblages that reference architectural space.

    I am a British artist working out of a studio in Hertfordshire, near to London. I have been practising as an artist for 20 years. I incorporate traditional and contemporary artistic techniques to create an altered sense of reality. I explore the complex relationship between human life and the natural environment, portraying a world that is dramatic and beautiful, as well as constantly changing.
