    I am a visual artist, animator and educator based in Liverpool, North West England. Incorporating textiles with natural and industrial materials, I explore themes of literature and language, folklore, superstitions as well as exploring histories both hetero-normative and queer.

    I work in the medium of film/video and photography. I studied photography before going on to study fine art at Leeds where I specialised in video art. As a filmmaker I've made creative films for Screen Yorkshire and North West Vision in England. My photographs have been exhibited online and in galleries, both in the UK and internationally.

    For over 30 years, Tessa has photographed rural life, working closely with individuals and communities to investigate how the landscape is shaped by humans. From hill farmers near her home in N Yorkshire to Icelandic puffin hunters, from Romanian nomadic shepherds to Lincolnshire flower farmers her projects reveal the fascinating intricacies of the dependencies between people, work and the land.

    I am a freelance photographer with a wide range of photographic interests, so I don't specialise in any particular genre.     I am a textile artist living near the coast and influenced by the rough weather and the wonderful colours of the sea and the moors . I have a studio -- The Black Cat studio and like to do series of works based on the landscape and the seasons . Also climate change , with a big collection now of felted wall hangings all depicting the effects of weather patterns.
