I have come back to my line and watercolour art after recently being accepted in the Lanzarote Art Festival. I am a painter who is interested in people, places, objects and groups in society. My role as a teacher informs my work and I often respond to my immediate environment. Painting offers a special opportunity to combine imagery, technique and art historical references to tell stories and suggest ideas. The act of looking, drawing and the physical mixing and application of colour are important to me.

Currently, I am primarily interested in exploring human/nature discourses through a narrative practice that engages with objects (natural and human-made), representation, and employing a range of processes and means of making. However, I am keen to explore creative synergy with others, whether they have similar or contrasting perspectives, skills and experiences.
