    I am a fine art photographer with a love for photography since getting my first camera as a teenager. Initially working as a landscape architect for 40 years till 2015 I decided to change direction to pursue my passion for b+w fine-art landscape photography using both 35mm and medium formats.     A handweaver and passionate about sustainable textiles, Sarah also has a smallholding and breeds pedigree Border Leicester sheep. She uses the fleece from her own sheep and from other local farms to create bespoke yarn to use in her woven articles.

    I have recently completed an art degree in Glass and ceramics from the University of Sunderland. I am a experienced craft tutor and work for WEA and Cultural Spring. I have also run her own workshops at different venues in the North East for several years. During the pandemic I supplied craft kits for people who were isolating. I also run a small studio in South Tyneside.

    I’m a UK artist based in Leeds and I’ve taken part in open call exhibitions across the UK (Art of music, King street gallery, Lancaster winner of special selection). Recently I had a solo exhibition at the ORBS walls, Leeds. My work is predominantly oil painting on canvas and wooden board.

Initially a writer, he abandoned his former life to become a full-time artist.     I’ve been trying to get to the root of why I paint what I paint, after much ruminating I think I’ve realised the different avenues my mind travels down. I’ve become more interested recently in a still life aspect to my work, looking at old toys and discarded objects and it’s the stories about the past, that I can almost see- just out of reach and stories are the main diet of my imagination.

    I am an artist currently exploring print making, mainly relief printing with linoleum. The dining room in my little Lincolnshire cottage doubles as my studio. I have always been interested in the medium but had only dabbled in it in the past. However, in 2020 I had the opportunity to explore and experiment uninterrupted. My printmaking practice has now extended to other forms of printmaking.
