    I'm a painter and award-winning illustrator, educated in Glasgow and Oxford and now living between Scotland, England and France.     I am an emerging textile artist working with experimental eco-printing and cyanotype. A scientist by previous trade, I am currently studying for FdA degree in Textiles Practice at Bradford Art School. I am drawn to the overlap of science and nature with creativity, with production of serendipitous outcomes featuring botanical imagery using real plants and their pigments.

    Becky is a freelance illustrator based in Leeds, UK. Becky creates work mainly focusing on favourite meals; food and drink, along with animals, plants and feelings of nostalgia.     I started out in art creating pencil pet portraits for friends and family. When these proved popular, I branched out and began experimenting with a variety of media, and a variety of subjects. I am always learning, and thoroughly enjoying the process. I decided to take the plunge and set up a website for my art earlier in 2025.

    As mixed media artist, I have worked as a textile artist since I took early retirement 14 years ago. Recently, I have also restarted water colour painting and my work now includes a mixture of paint, fabrics, stitch, hand weaving and embellishments. I have taken many courses on textile art techniques, printing, eco dyeing, paper making. etc.

    I am an artist currently exploring print making, mainly relief printing with linoleum. The dining room in my little Lincolnshire cottage doubles as my studio. I have always been interested in the medium but had only dabbled in it in the past. However, in 2020 I had the opportunity to explore and experiment uninterrupted. My printmaking practice has now extended to other forms of printmaking.
