    I am a sculptor and printmaker based in Rossendale, Lancashire, UK, and exhibit my work nationally and internationally.     I'm a new graduate of Fine Art working in pen and ink and I love to capture the little details of the world around me in Yorkshire. I've come to art after a career in archaeology, where observing and drawing the small details was an essential part of my role.     With an eye for intricate detail and curiosity for pre-owned items, my work focuses on how an object evokes personal comfort through recognition and familiarity. Inspired by everyday objects that often go unnoticed, from matchsticks to hook-and eye fastenings, I create handcrafted jewellery and personal possessions, some of which are wearable and others merely companions to our everyday lives.

    My practice specialises in printedTextiles weave and mixed media art. I currently work as a SEN TA, this is a challenging and rewarding role. I had created fun workshops for the children to participate and learn. Geliplate, weaving printing. I collect items that would normally end up in landfill, ready to experiment and explore new possibilities.

    Didi Baldwin is a printmaker, photographer and painter, working with broad themes of landscape, time and the sublime. She completed an MA in Printmaking from the RCA in 2002, for which she received a thesis distinction. She won an Erasmus Award to Berlin, and has had several residences in Iceland. She has exhibited in London, Japan and Portugal.
