I am a multimedia artist, interested in the magic powers that inanimate objects can achieve through our spells. Teddy bears are my queer talismans. My film practice begins with a desire to heal feelings of loss, solitude and alienation, by exploring symbioses between beings. Working with the practical immediacy of the iPhone, I use presence, stillness and methods of meditative contemplation.

I work producing authentic artworks in paintings and textile sculpture. I have exhibited both solo and as a participant, winning awards for innovation, judgrs choice and peoples choice. I'm passionate about art being accessible to as many as possible and not only the elite. I explore new aspects to incorporate into my work; e.g developing a lexicon for Ravens.

“My art is an exploration of life, translated through layers of paint and personal experience,” says Theriault. Her pieces, not just abstract forms, are reflections of emotion, memory, and place. Each painting is a dialogue between intention and improvisation, shifting dynamically as it develops. Theriault is deeply inspired by nature, not as a literal subject, but as a guide to creating art.

I am by definition an abstract artist who mainly specialises in painting. I use acrylic paint and mixed media to create my artworks, typically on large abandoned photographs, paper or canvas. The general theme behind my work is rooted in environmental issues and explores the contrasts between a natural existence and a synthetic environment that many of us find ourselves living in.
