    My ceramic practice explores the poetics of stillness at the threshold between vessel and sculpture. I use local stoneware, contrasting structural precision with unique matte glazes that highlight the clay's raw character. My work emphasizes the physical history of its creation. Stocked at Kettle's Yard museum shop and other galleries, I have also held a solo exhibition at Churchill College.

    My work touches on themes of belonging, mythology, memory, identity and the female gaze. In my creative practice, I enjoy exploring the symbolism behind water, waterlilies, lotus flowers, landscapes and the female body. I believe that my mixed heritage has been a rich source of material to work with, as I experiment with oil paint and mixed media on canvas.

    Sarah Needham is a recent graduate of the Royal College of Art Painting MA programme. She is based in London in Kindred Studios in North Kensington. Her work is research based, ecologically sensitive, using sustainable oil paint using linseed oil egg yolk and chalk, like Rembrandt. She often uses recycled Atches huile cotton rag paper, and the pigments and so palette arises from her research.

    I am by definition an abstract artist who mainly specialises in painting. I use acrylic paint and mixed media to create my artworks, typically on large abandoned photographs, paper or canvas. The general theme behind my work is rooted in environmental issues and explores the contrasts between a natural existence and a synthetic environment that many of us find ourselves living in.

    I’m a Chesterfield-born painter and Sheffield Hallam Fine Art graduate (2018). Formerly based at S1 Artspace (2019–24), I now work from Yorkshire Artspace’s Exchange Place. My work has included a collaboration with Mercedes-Benz Sheffield (JCT600), and I was nominated for the 2019 Keith Hayman Public Art Award for my mural 'Sheffield, the city as an egg'.
