    My passion is for fabric and stitch, my background in illustration, fashion and hand-embroidery. Recently my practice has grown using new methodologies to create large-scale installations and interactions. My work is generous and inclusive, acting like a type of therapy, offered to the viewer with gentle humour. Methods I use are traditionally craft related, all familiar childhood activities.

    I am a Fine Artist. I work mainly in painting and printmaking. My work explores colour and currently I am interested in colour charts. I studied a degree in Fine Art at Winchester School of Art and an MA in Printmaking at Bradford School of Art. I have worked in education for many years, both as a teacher and lecturer in Art and Design. I am currently an associate lecturer at Craven College.

    I am a fine art photographer and writer exploring humanity’s bond with nature. Influenced by loss and spiritual enquiry, I blend imagery and words to inspire stillness, wonder and reflection. Drawn to rugged Northern landscapes, my work weaves ecological and spiritual narratives, fostering a sense of belonging and care for the natural world.

    I resumed making sculpture in 2014 and have since shown sculpture, audio visual pieces and drawing. I am interested in the experiences of new, older artists returning or starting to make art that takes into account contemporary practices. I make constructions that are material and tangible and whose component forms often have a direct relation to the features of the gallery or site.

    I live in the Bannau Brycheiniog, working as an artist, curator and tutor. My family has a log history in artistic and healing practices, and I am very happy to be ableto continue these traditions as an artist and facilitator.     I grew up in Zambia, studied Classics and Education at St. Mary’s University in London, and later graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a B.A. Honours in Fine Art. As teacher and artist, my interests have often overlapped. I have exhibited in many English and European cities, as can be seen in my CV on this website. My Sheffield studio is at Exchange Place, which is part of Yorkshire Art
