    Saba Siddiqui (b.1999) is a multimedia artist based in Yorkshire whose work centres the experiences of Global Majority people living in the U.K. to investigate notions of home and identity. Her degree show installation ‘Defiance My Way’ won the People’s Choice Award for the 2024 FUAM Graduate Art Prize and she is a recipient of the Berkofsky Award. Siddiqui is making work for Bradford 2025.

    The first time I touched clay, it was a peaceful and comforting experience. There is nothing more grounding than working by hand with raw materials and watching as it slowly transforms into a piece of work. This started by accident. As someone who has ADHD, it’s incredibly difficult to be still, and I feel the need to constantly be doing something with my hands.

Originally from Holmfirth Charlotte moved to Cardiff where she studied for her degree in Fine Art, after a decade in Wales she moved back to Yorkshire.     I am a visual artist, primarily working with oil paints. I trained at university in Canterbury, obtaining my BA in Fine Art in 2005. I moved to Yorkshire in 2006 and later completed my Masters degree in Art Therapy in 2012. I currently live in Leeds and work from my home based art studio. I exhibit and sell her paintings online and at Art Fairs, and work on a commission basis.

    As a chemical free seasonal flower grower and lover of nature I use my garden as inspiration for my art, using a variety of mediums from watercolour through to acrylic and digital. I practice continually with different styles and have created large acrylic flow paintings through to small textile pieces. Flowers are my passion but I am open to depicting any form.
