    Dan Harland is a painter based in Leeds, U.K. He translates the collage of memory and imagination that occupies the mind's eye, in Oil and Acrylic.     I create handcrafted patchwork bags using Harris Tweed pure wool combined with leather, organza, yarn, and layered machine stitching. Each textile panel is built from individually pieced fabrics, embellished with textured fibres and netting to create richly tactile surfaces. Alongside bags, I make framed textile landscape collages using fabric, embroidery, and yarn.

    I am a Bradford based Chinese artist, a graduate of Yunnan Arts University in Kunming where I also qualified as a teacher. Although my personal preference is for abstract painting in oils, after taking up residence in The UK, I further developed my skills as a portrait painter. More recently, I was inspired to create landscapes after securing temporary studio space in Bradford city centre.
