    Biography and approach I am born in 1983 in Lausanne (Switzerland). Living and working in Leeds (UK), since 2016. Achieved a BA in Fine Art at the HKB in Bern (CH) and an MA in Fine Art in 2014, at HEAD in Geneva (CH). In 2018, I achieved an MA in Performance Art at Leeds Beckett University, in the UK. I work as an artist individually and collaboratively on projects or in collectives.

    Based in the UK East Midlands, I became a full time artist in 2019. Semi abstract in nature, my work combines a fine art background and a long held fascination with wood in all forms. Sustainability underpins my practice; resource management and contributing to art communities is very important to me. I consistently exhibit in UK galleries and have collectors across the UK, Europe and US.

    I’m Maddy, a queer artist, and animator from London, living in North Yorkshire who loves to make artwork for all. I am a live event painter and illustrator.     I’m a plein air painter based in London, my artistic practice is almost exclusively rooted in plein air (outdoor/from life) location based observational painting. I find that through painting outdoors the quality of light and feeling I get from the places I visit comes across in the sense of place in the paintings capturing a moment in time.

    Trained, practiced and taught Graphic Design turned to Printmaking as a main practice since 2017. Concentrated on Linocut initially predominantly 'Reduction'. Recently returned to college for an Adult learning Printmaking course and introduced to Tetrapak, Drypoint, Aquatint and other Intaglio processes which has expanded my outlook on many other possibilities and approaches.

    I design and make mixed media jewellery from my workshop in Bingley, West Yorkshire. I work predominantly in silver but like to combine other, found materials to my work to add colour and interest. I sell my work online, at contemporary craft shows and through a number of galleries around the U.K.
