    I make predominantly papier-mâché sculptures. I love its immediacy, expressiveness and physicality. My work often has a performative quality. They are not just sculptures — they’re personalities, each holding part of my own identity, emotions, and fears, reflecting some of my own mental health challenges but also inviting a shared recognition.

    I am a graduate professional artist with BA Fine Art First Class Honours 2006. I'm inspired by the landscape and create work that abstracts what I see and experience. Often working en plein air I create dynamic & colourful compositions. I'm inspired by abstract expressionism with rapid expressive mark making & striking colours of Fauvism. I have a strong exhibition catalogue over 20 shows in 2025.

    I create handcrafted patchwork bags using Harris Tweed pure wool combined with leather, organza, yarn, and layered machine stitching. Each textile panel is built from individually pieced fabrics, embellished with textured fibres and netting to create richly tactile surfaces. Alongside bags, I make framed textile landscape collages using fabric, embroidery, and yarn.

    Recent graduate of a first class degree in BA (Hons) Fine Art at the Northern School of Art. I enjoy the process of investigating landscape via graphite, paint, photography and collage.     Henny Burnett is a mixed media installation artist who lives and works in Bristol. She attended Byam Shaw School of Art in London, Fiberworks in Berkeley, California and Edinburgh College of Art. Central to Burnett’s practice is research and public engagement; she has worked on many projects that have involved museum collections, archives and histories.
