    I have a passion for watercolour, pastel of wildlife botanical animal and more recently jewellery making . Over 10 years ago I was medically retired from the NHS with a Neurological condition so I picked up a pencil and started from there and have never stopped. I have done a few craft fairs in North Yorkshire where I'm from . I have now moved to Surrey are and I want to continue here with fairs.

    I have always loved liminal moments and have spent a lot of my art career trying to grasp, express, explore it and what I understand that to mean. It surfaces in landscape, moments of beauty; melancholy perhaps and in the figure as moments of being slightly removed, distant, ambiguous. Consequently I don't feel constrained to a particular medium and am happy with paint, photography print and clay

    I design and make mixed media jewellery from my workshop in Bingley, West Yorkshire. I work predominantly in silver but like to combine other, found materials to my work to add colour and interest.     Based in the UK East Midlands, I became a full time artist in 2019. Semi abstract in nature, my work combines a fine art background and a long held fascination with wood in all forms. Sustainability underpins my practice; resource management and contributing to art communities is very important to me.     I'm an artist and writer who specialises in photographic engagement with the natural world, particularly the cultural history of plants. My practice-based PhD from the University of Brighton, conducted research on how creative encounters with the concept of plant intelligence can help narrow the nature-culture divide by making-with the plant not just as subject, but also as object.

    Having worked with photography and cinema production, as well as different media and areas of painting, from porcelain to textiles, for over 20 years my art has been expressed in painting silks and photographing instants in the development of the painting process. My painted silks are the object of compositions and landscapes.
