    I am a largely self-taught artist, my art practice spanning work with natural colour and experimental and sustainable film photography. I was born in former Czecho-Slovakia and my present art practice is informed by my Slavic roots and folklore cultural heritage.     For the last few years, I have tried to paint in a way that no other artist paints. I do not see the point of painting in a similar way to other artists. For THE NATURE OF THINGS series, I have found a new way of applying paint to figurative paintings. In the MEMORY AND DESIRE series I paint initially conventionally, but then cover the picture with a monochrome colour.

    I resumed making sculpture in 2014 and have since shown sculpture, audio visual pieces and drawing. I am interested in the experiences of new, older artists returning or starting to make art that takes into account contemporary practices. I make constructions that are material and tangible and whose component forms often have a direct relation to the features of the gallery or site.
