I make storytelling devices in the form of sound sculptures, installations and performances, considering poetry as a form of resistance and collaging words together as materials, while thinking of the role puns and tongue twisters play in language. I also make podiums to read from, while also whispering poems into peoples’ ears.

I am a visual artist based in Glasgow. I work across a range of disciplines – including installation, drawing, painting, print, sculpture and video – to create artworks in response to chosen locations, often as self-initiated residencies, where I will spend time working on site, directly from my chosen subject. My works are often exhibited in the spaces to which they relate.

Visual artist investigating tactile relationships between body and tactile objects. Working with constructed textiles and sculpture, I use sound to activate moving tendrils, vibrissa-like forms, and object extensions, that comprise and visualise the 'listening space'; the space between the source of a sound emitter and the ear.

My sculpture series Magical Zoo is an examination of the impact of human activities on the environment and the world of animals. Born out of desire to help restore nature and to reduce my environmental footprint, the pieces are made of up-cycled materials such as packaging, the only other substance added being transparent varnish glue. Each animal is depicted showing its unique beauty and magic.
