    I am a Redcar raised photographer who seeks meaning in the mundane. I prefer black and white photography , but not exclusively. I use any camera I have to hand working with Fuji X-H1, Pro 1, X-E1, Canon 200D, 5D mkiii, and film photography using the Canon AE-1, Prakitka and the medium format plastic fantastic Holga 120N. I tell stories through photography and hope you can find your story in them.

    I'm an Artist & Qualified Art Teacher based in Leeds with a master's in Contemporary Fine Arts Practices. My work is inspired by African Art, Rastafarian Culture, and Roots Reggae. I've received the Edna Lumb Travel Scholarship and the Black Achievers Award.     A disabled artist having to experiment using my non dominant hand, I love to capture a feeling or beauty within my art. Charcoal was the very first thing I picked up and I'm venturing from this trying to recycle my "canvas'" and drawing on anything I can find and reuse. I believe my art maintains a stylised appearance on account of the deliberation and consideration having to be factored in.

    I am currently producing work that is a a combination of paintings and mixed media relief pieces that combine embroidery, paper clay, precious metal clay, paper, watercolour, ink and found objects. Each piece is accompanied with a poem about and as a response to the physical work. I also work as a development librarian.

    I am an artist currently exploring print making, mainly relief printing with linoleum. The dining room in my little Lincolnshire cottage doubles as my studio. I have always been interested in the medium but had only dabbled in it in the past. However with the time and solace of lockdowns in 2020 I found I could explore and experiment uninterrupted. I am now hooked!

    I am a designer maker working often in ceramics. I see the beauty in the broken, overlooked and discarded. My latest work was using fully fired ceramics that were in the bin and, crushing these up, I put them inside jesmonite sculptures. I want to highlight the moments in our lives where we feel broken, worthless and discarded... in order to remind us we are strong and valuable.
