    I am a UK-based sculptor exploring transformation, identity, and social narratives through form and material.     Originally from Moldova (formerly part of the USSR), I have called Harrogate home for the past 28 years. Since 1995, I've resided in the UK. Currently, I share my passion for art and photography as an educator at Harrogate Grammar School while continuing to refine my skills as a painter.     My main area of work is traditional printmaking and I have been exhibited in 5 out of the 6 Royal Academies of Arts in the UK and Ireland. I also work in the area of drawing, watercolour, and photography. Many of my works are based on a science fiction setting of my own with occult, retro, and archaic elements, but I also work based on real life.

    Ex Army Father of two beautiful girls and I work as a HGV driver in the UK. I got into art literally by accident, after a work place accident and recovering at home ,I took up pyrography to take my mind off the recovery. Since then and work permitting I do my art when I can. Only having weekends off from the road I love to dive into a piece for hours on end, the smell and sound is fantastic.

    I grew up in the heart of the textile industry, and spent many childhood days playing amongst the derelict mills that are our heritage. After travelling extensively, I was drawn back by the rugged and remote beauty of the Pennines. My passion is capturing the drama of our landscape, its social and industrial heritage and the lives of the people who lived and worked here then and now.
