    My work pulls from autoethnography , using lived experience alongside academic literature to tell a story and grasp audiences. I aim to be relatable and direct in order to address the culture we are in. I prefer my work to be accessible, this means audiences of any and all backgrounds can engage with my work. I feel a picture can speak a thousands words.

    Sinead Barker (b.1989) is a textile artist based in York, North Yorkshire. She creates wildlife textile art using collaged fabrics and free-motion machine embroidery on hand-dyed canvas. Rooted in a lifelong affinity with animals, her work explores emotional experiences through the characteristics and symbolism of the wildlife she depicts.

    I make artists' books. My work is narrative based: I am inspired by stories, thoughts and ideas that I like to interpret in book form so that the structure and content of the book are symbiotic. Sometimes I also create textile pieces incorporating mixed media and embroidery.

    Working with salvaged ecclesiastical glass, I use historical fragments to construct new paradigms of image‑making. Informed by early Renaissance craft, my practice reconfigures light, fracture and inherited forms for contemporary meaning.

    I am a woodcarver, artificer and artisan pictorial sign maker. My sculpture is often for memorials, both for highly personal private remembrance and for Public Spaces. All my work is concerned with sustainability, climate change and environmental responsibility. My work has been exhibited widely in the UK and online.     Printmaker and bookbinder I work from a small studio in rural West Wales enjoying all the benefits of living in the countryside with reasonable access to Swansea, Cardiff and Aberystwyth. I teach bookbinding to small groups of adults, accept commissions for special books and sell my work in galleries and craft shows.
