    I am a Portuguese/British professional visual artist, living and working in Cambridge, UK. I hold a Degree in Painting, Faculty of Fine Arts/University of Lisbon. I exhibit regularly in Cambridge (Kettles' Yard, New Hall Art Collection) and Portugal. My latest body of work was developed at Newnham College, University of Cambridge collaborating with Researchers on the theme of forced migration.

    I am a predominantly self taught artist working across a range of textile mediums with a particular focus on weaving currently.     My name is Harriet Pybus and iv recently spent a lot of time reflecting back on photographs that I have taken over the years. My photographs provide sanctuary from the turmoil of the modern world.     My art is about bringing imagination to life through abstract and semi-abstract pieces. I work mainly with mixed media, using acrylic paint and inks, building up layers of paint, texture, and intuitive markings. I love experimenting with marks and I enjoy creating small details within large paintings. Nature is my greatest inspiration.

    Neurodivergent visual artist exploring embodied experience through drawing, painting and mixed media. My work draws on my background as a former elite gymnast and responds to movement, sensation and mental imagery emerging through EMDR therapy. Projects include ‘ProPriOception’ (Arts Council England - DYCP) and ‘Exploring Embodied Experience’, supported by a CuratorSpace Artist Bursary.
