    I am primarily a painter, based in the east of England. I apply the philosophy of collage to the materials of painting. Since graduating from Chelsea College of Arts M A course in 1998 I have worked with an archive of materials generated in the studio ( canvas offcuts and dried films/puddles/fragments of paint) to construct images from imagination and memory.

    I'm Ella Johnston, my practice is an ongoing investigation into mark-making, gesture, and the calligraphic line. I (mainly) draw, paint and create sculptural pieces.     Ex Army Father of two beautiful girls and I work as a HGV driver in the UK. I got into art literally by accident, after a work place accident and recovering at home ,I took up pyrography to take my mind off the recovery. Since then and work permitting I do my art when I can. Only having weekends off from the road I love to dive into a piece for hours on end, the smell and sound is fantastic.

    Every artwork is an invitation to pause. I don’t create paintings simply to be looked at. I create spaces to be entered. Mixed media, conceptual artist exploring emotional memory through textured abstraction, found objects and sculptural surfaces.     Hi My name is Tony Cooney i’m based in Stockton on Tees. I’m a self taught artist and work predominantly in Oul Pastels on paper. I also like to use recycled cardboard such as old Amazon envelopes and the outer hardbacks of artist pads. I also work in charcoal and oil/acrylics.

    Having recently completed a foundation degree in textiles practice at Bradford School of Art, I am now embarking on a new chapter as a textile artist. In my previous life, I was a specialist speech and language therapist, and also an aromatherapist, and I continue to take the same multi sensory approach to my art work, as I did in my previous roles.
