    I am a multidisciplinary maker and printmaker creating a personal field record of the landscape. Influenced by old herbals and the graphic language of historical woodcuts, my work captures the wild things of liminal spaces. I merge foraged inspiration with disciplined craft to create leaf-printed leather journals, botanical relief prints, and sculptural accordion artist books.

    Ex Army Father of two beautiful girls and I work as a HGV driver in the UK. I got into art literally by accident, after a work place accident and recovering at home ,I took up pyrography to take my mind off the recovery. Since then and work permitting I do my art when I can. Only having weekends off from the road I love to dive into a piece for hours on end, the smell and sound is fantastic.

    Recent graduate of a first class degree in BA (Hons) Fine Art at the Northern School of Art. I enjoy the process of investigating landscape via graphite, paint, photography and collage.     Following my graduation from a Fine Art Degree in 1993, I qualified as an art teacher, teaching art for over twenty-five years in various settings, including mainstream schools and referral units for children excluded from school. My understanding of art and how students can be encouraged to create has enlightened, inspired and enriched my understanding of the practice and process of making art.
