    As a studio-based painter I rely on photographic images. These are often those found on social media or then internet. As a gay man I am also interested in exploring the multiplicity of images and ideals we are presented with and redefining the idea of masculinity. My work explores narrative, colour, line, composition, and mark-making to evoke an emotion or develop the narrative within an image.

    My work is mainly mixed media, using acrylics, inks and home made collage papers. For me I love the whole process of creating art. I have a very basic idea of where I want to go, because I work intuitively, that often changes as I work through the process, which for me is the fun part.

    I am a printmaker and artist and I work from my attic studio in West Yorkshire. My prints are influenced by my love of being immersed in nature and my belief that everyone has a right to be wrapped in the natural world.
