    I mostly paint, draw and print. While usually figurative my subjects are rarely quite human. I'm also interested in landscape that bears the oft-troubling traces of human presence. These are dark times. I feel perpetually shocked that we have ended up here. I try to explore this in my work. I committed to making art seriously late in life. Late enough to do it frivolously.

    I'm a 53 year old Artist from Yorkshire, i Love to paint what is in my head. I do occasionally like to paint a portrait, usually a personality from a band. Having suffered with my mental health issues i find it a personally tailored therapy that seems to work well. I would like very much to share my paintings.

    Kelly Boyle works with an automatic drawing process, allowing freedom to explore playfully whilst connecting to different levels of emotion and consciousness. Predominantly using ink, acrylics, and pyrography. The collections change organically with the artists' personal experiences, reflecting their inner world and what is absorbed within external surroundings.

    I create sculpture and art installations using everyday materials and using repetition. My practice is firmly rooted in process art and influenced by postminimalist artists such as Richard Serra and Eva Hesse. I embody difficult thoughts and mental states in physical form.     I am a photographer and a qualified teacher. I tutor workshops in basic digital photography and cyanotype printing. My main practice is in documentary photography. I also have a passion for Camera Obscura and have designed and built my own portable CO. Inspired by largescale artworks I also have a passion for light paintings and abstractions made at night.

    Working with ink pens and watercolour pencils on paper. When creating, I love to play with little shapes, lines and patterns I see in my surroundings. I pickup elements that I see in nature, and back in the studio, I let my ink loose on it. I say it like that, because what I exactly will make is never clear before I start, the ink and its whimsical way of flowing always add surprise.
