    Yimou Huang’s practice-based PhD from Dundee University explores the divergent influences of Chinese Taoism and Western Eco-Feminist thought on contemporary global art. It centers on the material aspects of dynamic forces, such as gravity, wind, and erosion. Yimou is particularly interested in transformational processes and their relation to traditional Chinese views on matter (stone, clay, wood)

    I am a teacher of Geography and until a few years ago I never thought I had a creative bone in my body. I then discovered wood turning and the joy of shaping wood as if it was clay. I have rapidly moved away from traditional wood turning and like to use a variety of non-traditional wood and different materials that enhance the wood. I like form and shape inspired by nature.

    Sam Haynes started her practice over twenty five years ago creating site specific public art installations, engaging local communities. Her creative process is still all about making connections, incorporating found objects and materials, using low tech methods of construction to create abstract, geometric assemblages that reference architectural space.

    I am an artist based in West Yorkshire and Iam an emerging artist. I have always had a passion for wildlife and wildlife conservation. So, it makes sense that I would naturally turn to wildlife art. My style is hyper-realistic with an attention to detail. I have a collaboration with the wildlife charity, Liberian Chimpanzee Rescue and Rehabilitation Charity and 2 other Primate Charities.

    Franky Blues is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist born and raised in Portugal but currently residing in North Yorkshire, England. Franky's works aim to explore the innermost self and its place in contemporary society.     I am a stained glass artist who was mentored by Derek Hunt. I specialize in stained glass letterbox flower deliveries but also do large window work. I enjoy the traditional stained glass and Tiffany technique, with a more alternative style of window. My most popular work has been a bug that has been taken over by a flowering parasite, not only leaving its beautiful shell behind but also new life

    Shona Davies and Jon Klein both studied at Sir John Cass College of Art where they graduated in 2007 with first class honours. They were also joint recipients of the Owen Rowley Prize and John Cass Purchase prize. Klein specialised in Time Based Media and Davies in Printmaking and 3-D. Dave Monaghan studied at Liverpool and Canterbury Colleges of Art where he specialised in sculpture.

    I am a Yorkshire lass from Barnsley. I recently graduated from Hull with a fine art degree. I have immersed myself in creativity to cope with a long term illness fibromyalgia. Using open water swimming and the combination of a fibre arts based creative practice has seen i through difficult times.
