    I am an artist and designer living and working in York, UK. I grew up on the edge of Dartmoor and studied fine art, illustration and graphic design in Exeter and York. My paintings and drawings explore wild natural landscapes through instinctive and expressive mark-making and enquiry into colour, and have been exhibited in England and Wales.

    I grew up in the ancient port of Whitby, in northern England which sits between the North Yorkshire Moors and the North Sea. This dramatic environment has influenced my art as much as my multi-ethnic ancestry and popular culture.     My art is about bringing imagination to life through abstract and semi-abstract pieces. I work mainly with mixed media, using acrylic paint and inks, building up layers of paint, texture, and intuitive markings. I love experimenting with marks and I enjoy creating small details within large paintings. Nature is my greatest inspiration.
