    Alison Lowry is a visual artist based in Saintfield, Northern Ireland. Her ground breaking work, ‘(A)Dressing our hidden truths’, shown at the National Museum of Ireland, (2019- present), was one of the first acknowledgements of the Magdalene Laundries presented in an Irish Institution. The Museum subsequently purchased the exhibition for their permanent collection

    I am by definition an abstract artist who mainly specialises in painting. I use acrylic paint and mixed media to create my artworks, typically on large abandoned photographs, paper or canvas. The general theme behind my work is rooted in environmental issues and explores the contrasts between a natural existence and a synthetic environment that many of us find ourselves living in.

    I’m a colour-blind artist/cartoonist fascinated by the overlooked moments of everyday life. The way people interact with their surroundings, both living and inanimate, in ways that are often unnoticed. My work explores the social, philosophical, and humorous aspects of these interactions, inviting viewers to pause and see the world through a fresh lens.

    My practice centres on ceramics. Clay is mineral, elemental and millions of years old. A humbling material - it has a memory, just like us. I am inspired by the chaos of oxides, the magic of a kiln opening and leaning into the unknown.

    The main aspect of my work is the exploration of the personal and the collective unconscious through art, putting in its centre not the single human being but humanity as a whole.     Rachel (they/them) is a prolific, intuitive artist who has been practicing since graduating in1990 from Central Saint Martins School of Art, London. They follow where their creativity takes them on the day; using sketching, linocut, mono printing, sewing and painting. Having grown up in the Peak District, Rachel has lived in London, Boston and New Zealand and is now loving Norwich.

    Caitriona Dunnett is an Irish artist based in the UK. She has a BA Hons in Photography from Nottingham Trent University and an MFA from Rhode Island School of Design. Her practice explores memory and the traces people leave behind, the paths they weave through time and the legacies attached to them, specifically looking at land, heritage and nature, through alternative photographic processes.
