    The first time I touched clay, it was a peaceful and comforting experience. There is nothing more grounding than working by hand with raw materials and watching as it slowly transforms into a piece of work. This started by accident. As someone who has ADHD, it’s incredibly difficult to be still, and I feel the need to constantly be doing something with my hands.

    Hi My name is Tony Cooney i’m based in Stockton on Tees. I’m a self taught artist and work predominantly in Oul Pastels on paper. I also like to use recycled cardboard such as old Amazon envelopes and the outer hardbacks of artist pads. I also work in charcoal and oil/acrylics.

    Ali Pickard The Yaffingale is interested in history and modernity, which stories get to be told, and who is telling the tale, both within fiction and society.     I am a visual artist, primarily working with oil paints. I trained at university in Canterbury, obtaining my BA in Fine Art in 2005. I moved to Yorkshire in 2006 and later completed my Masters degree in Art Therapy in 2012. I currently live in Leeds and work from my home based art studio. I exhibit and sell her paintings online and at Art Fairs, and work on a commission basis.
