    I am a ceramicist based in SE London making wheel-thrown functional ceramics. I started pottery in 2017 with evening classes, and since then have built my practice as a member of a co-operative ceramics studio alongside my role as a social worker, gradually devoting more and more time to pottery.

    I work with sculpture, installation, performance, and intervention to explore time, history, the deep feelings of things, and embodied human presence. Since graduating from my MA in 2020, I have situated my work both inside and beyond the gallery setting as a means to investigate the interaction between my work, space, and site.     I work in the medium of film/video and photography. I studied photography before going on to study fine art at Leeds where I specialised in video art.     Julia Pomeroy, London (b.1998) is works in London and has exhibited with a range of galleries. Pomeroy graduated from the MFA at City and Guilds London School of Art in 2024 and she was awarded the Leverhulme Scholarship for her studies. She also studied at Leeds Arts University for her BFA in 2017-2020. Pomeroy is oil painter and also explores drawing and printing.
