    I am a textile artist living near the coast and influenced by the rough weather and the wonderful colours of the sea and the moors . I have a studio -- The Black Cat studio and like to do series of works based on the landscape and the seasons . Also climate change , with a big collection now of felted wall hangings all depicting the effects of weather patterns.

    My passion is for fabric and stitch, my background in illustration, fashion and hand-embroidery.     Hi My name is Tony Cooney i’m based in Stockton on Tees. I’m a self taught artist and work predominantly in Oul Pastels on paper. I also like to use recycled cardboard such as old Amazon envelopes and the outer hardbacks of artist pads. I also work in charcoal and oil/acrylics.
