    A handweaver and passionate about sustainable textiles, Sarah also has a smallholding and breeds pedigree Border Leicester sheep. She uses the fleece from her own sheep and from other local farms to create bespoke yarn to use in her woven articles.

    I mostly paint, draw and print. While usually figurative my subjects are rarely quite human. I'm also interested in landscape that bears the oft-troubling traces of human presence. These are dark times. I feel perpetually shocked that we have ended up here. I try to explore this in my work. I committed to making art seriously late in life. Late enough to do it frivolously.

    N. Irish artist living and working on the Ards peninsula in Co. Down. I lived a large part of my life in California working in Economics but I have always maintained my love of art and creating art. My journey now is mostly about making art. I work with the figure and landscape while slowly moving towards more abstracted expression.

    Sally is an artist and curator. She studied as a mature student at Central Saint Martins, graduating in 2017. Her work has been shown in Canada, China, London and other parts of the UK. Sally has curated a number of shows of work by emerging artists in Scarborough and London. In 2021 Sally moved back to Scarborough and is now Chair of Scarborough Studios/Old Parcels Office Artspace.

    My work is an emotional response to the coastal landscape and not a literal interpretation of what I see. The compositions that I develop are not particularly concerned with the specifics of place, but more the elemental relationship between land, sky and sea. The freedom and spontaneity of mark making and gestural paint application allow me to express a more personal image of the environment.

    Christine Thomas is a fine artist with a multi-disciplinary practice and often works with textiles. Her areas of interest include locational identity and the domestic, often from a feminist perspective and explore the use of nature and the domestic.     Who am I? A question I will always struggle with. I have two sides- my feminine and my masculine . My routes of action films and sci-fi has merged with my love for glamour, pop culture, costume and character. The questioning of identity and gender within myself and society has led way to a desire to explore this and other social topics through my work. Society is my biggest inspiration.
