    For over twenty years, my practice as a community artist has centred on participation, storytelling, and collective making. Recently, through Arts Council England’s Developing Your Creative Practice fund, I have refocused on my personal creative work - exploring the intersection between Chinese and European folklore, inherited craft traditions, and the shifting nature of cultural identity.

    I have degrees in environmental science and fine art and an MA in fine art, and won a scholarship in philosophy (International Society for philosophers). I have exhibited and performed internationally - drawings, artists books and vocalisations.

    My ceramic sculptures possess a strong voice and, and a bold narrative about contrast, visual drama and playfulness. They are visually and haptically exciting. I have an MA in ceramics, and exhibit my work in the UK and abroad. My work has been shortlisted for a number of national and international prizes, and is held in public and private collections in the UK, USA and Italy .

    Graduating in 1987 from Maidstone College of Art, with a Fine Arts BA (hons) degree I entered the world of teaching after gaining a PGCE at Bretton hall. My role as art teacher rapidly developed to head of department, head of faculty, to becoming an AST, and deputy head at a SEND School, Recently I was a teacher of nurture after 2 years of art, photography, teaching before retiring in Dec 2024

    Kate Jennings is a Leeds-based multidisciplinary artist with a Master’s in Fine Art. Rooted in expression, her practice explores emotion as a form of release and reflection. Initially focused on screen printing and protest, her work shifted after a personal loss in 2023. She now creates instinctively, using art as a way to let go while maintaining a commitment to community engagement.

    Ije (eejay) A multi-disciplinary artist with a sensuous, nomadic arts practice fusing personal memory, embodied practice and material intervention. My creations are extensions of the rhythms of my body, active evolving sites of experimentation and fabrications of energetic memories.     Adele studied for her B. A. (Hons) Degree in Textile Art at Winchester School of Art. After a short spell working for an interior magazine in London she set out to see the world. Years later, settling down in the historic city of York, she completed a diploma in Children's book illustration gaining a distinction. It was after this that she turned to using her camera, scanner and photoshop.
